I'm 18, from Melbourne, and like a wide variety of music. I've been into metal and punk for a long time (6, 7 years) and these days listen to thrash/death/NWOBHM/doom metal (some black) mainly old-school stuff, with punk I'm interested in old hardcore, no specific scene really, crust, some grind, some powerviolence. Outside of metal and punk, I like hip hop, funk/soul, psychedelic rock, some classic/hard rock, and some alternative rock. Occassionally I'll listen to a bit of blues, a bit of classical and a bit of reggae. Aside from music I like exploitation/b-movie films, and anything that is a real mind-fuck of a film (David Lynch is a favourite) or a really well-done emotional movie (I love Shane Meadow's films, all of them). I like some old cartoons like Ren and Stimpy, Johnny Bravo, Rocko's Modern Life, etc. Other than that I guess my hobbies are cricket, reading, going out. I'm at university, first-year, studying psychology. I want to become a therapist, because I think I'm good at that. As for my political views, I haven't subscribed to anything really. It's not something that I've worried about or put great thought into. I guess that's it, and I don't really know why I've gone and written a short essay on myself for a bunch of people that don't know me, but whatever, it's always fun to talk about myself. This looks like a good site and a good resource, and good luck to it. I will contribute as much as I can (hopefully alot). Edit - and I have a quick question. You say not to post well-known bands (Exploited, etc). What about rehearsals/bootlegs/demos from these bands? Are these allowed or not?
