Rent it first! I really didn't like it, it's very hit or miss, you love it or you hate it.
As for good Ps2 games I recommend the Grand Theft Auto series in the unlikely event you don't already have some of them, Ratchet & Clank Up Your Arsenal and Going Commando, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, Star Wars Battlefront 1 & 2, God of War, and Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. You also might want to check out Killzone and Medal of Honor.

For the PS2 and Game Cube, it totally depends what kind of games you are into. I personally am into RPGs and I say you must play Final Fantasy 7 (PS1 games work on PS2)... a good 2 person RPG is Champions of Norrath, Champions of Norrath Returns to Arms, also Bulder's Gate 1 and 2 are good, and pretty much everything in the Final Fantasy series except X-2 is pretty damn good. Oh and Bards Tale is pretty funny, you can play your character as a smart ass, as the cover says you are on a quest for coin and cleavage... For Game Cube I have been playing Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicals.

    FAIL FAIL FAIL.
Anyone who is Incapable of realizing the sheer majestic flawlessness of Shadow of the Colossus has no buisness playing anything except pong.

I cannot wait for the 3rd game to come out, its gonna be so insane.

YES a heated video game debate! you guys have made me want to try that game, I unfortunately have never heard of it. What style of game is it?

And how could I have forgotten Dragon Quest 8 when suggesting PS2 Games, great story, and fun game play.

Have you played God of War? It has a similar boss sort of fighting style except its about thirty times more theatrical and beautiful. And there are only 10(?) bosses and there all amazing to fight.

I haven't played God Of War yet, but I noticed from watching others play it is very similar in game play as Gauntlet 7 Sorrows. I agree God Of War is a beautiful game.

Shadow of the colossus is one of the best games ever. any one played ICO, which is sort of a prequel, though a different type of game? If not, your missing out, it is just as visually beautiful, and captures the same ambiance.

Speaking of video games, there is a documentary called Second Skin, which is about a bunch of people and their lives on and off MMORPG's such as WOW and Everquest 1 and 2. Its pretty good... and cute!... and pathetic (at some parts)

I love video games, including violent ones that may contain nationalistic or militaristic propaganda.

However one of my favorite games ever is Fallout 2 (I didn't say Fallout 3 although I enjoy that game too). The main enemy in the game is the remnents of the United States government and the final boss is some sort of gigantic part human, part cyborg secret service agent.

It makes me fucking sick how there are really no "computer games" anymore, it's all just console ports it seems like. Although I enjoy playing consoles too.

That's not entirely true, there are still plenty of great PC exclusive titles that come out, unfortunatly they are demanding, and require top of the line computers and processors and shit that most of the average computer gamer can't afford. (I am pissed I can't play Gothic 3... my computer isn't powerful enough, and that game is almost 4 years old!)

Oh well, long live abandonware websites    \m/

Man there are still some great PC games out there: Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2, Buldar's Gate 1 and 2, and a bunch of others. I can't wait to get another PC just to play games on, there unfortunately isn't all that much for Mac games. I am buying a desktop from the school that I work at for $50, and I am planning to slowly build it to be a good gaming computer over time.
