Three New Soulseek Servers Now Live – 24/7 File Sharing Returns to No Gods No Masters!

We’re excited to announce that NoGodsNoMasters.org is now operating three brand new Soulseek servers, available 24/7, dedicated to free music sharing and community-uploaded files — no need even to visit our website.

Over a decade ago, our collective ran a Soulseek server from one of our homes. It was chaotic, unstable, and occasionally firewalled by paranoid ISPs — but it worked. And more importantly, it brought people together to trade punk records, radical zines, and rare bootlegs in the true DIY spirit.

Now in 2025, we’ve leveled up: we’re running three dedicated virtual machines exclusively for Soulseek, with 99.99% uptime, fully independent from our main site infrastructure.

As of today, over 300,000 music files are shared on these servers.

Fully Private – Hosted on Our Own Infrastructure

These servers are not hosted in our homes, nor rented from Big Tech giants. They run on our own custom-managed infrastructure. Each Soulseek VM is tunneled through our in-house VPN network, so their IPs are anonymized and protected. The goal is to keep your activity private while ensuring these servers stay online indefinitely.

You don’t need to visit our site, make an account, or log in anywhere. Just add our Soulseek server to your client and browse the shared folders. It’s pure peer-to-peer, the way file sharing was meant to be.

What Is Soulseek?

If you’ve never used Soulseek, it’s a lightweight, community-driven file-sharing network focused on music. Think Napster, but decentralized and built for crate diggers, punks, ravers, and obsessives. You connect, browse people’s folders, and download full albums, demos, and mixes. It’s an underground library, not a streaming platform.

The best part? Users share what they care about — not what the algorithm wants you to hear.

Why We’re Doing This

We believe in free access to music and culture. We’re not here to sell subscriptions or monetize streams. This is about keeping the spirit of sharing alive — especially for artists who aren’t on Spotify, labels that no longer exist, and zines that were never digitized.

The new servers are already populated with a mix of:

• Punk, hardcore, and crust discographies
• Community-uploaded FLAC & MP3 albums
• Bootlegs, radio sessions, and demos
• Radical PDF archives, old punk zines, and more

We’re not asking for anything — no donation, no signup. Just show up, plug in, and start sharing. That’s how it worked 20 years ago, and that’s how it should still work today.
