My name is Savannah or Savvy for short. You can call me Mani if it's easier. I'm 18 years old with a birthday coming up very soon. I'm from Oceanside, California, United States. I am Pangaean. I dig folk rock, especially This Bike is a Pipe Bomb and Mischief Brew, among others. In my spare time, I knit, crochet, sew, ride my bike and read any classic literature available to me.
I found this site when I was looking for new music but found that I had a lot in common with the political views that are supported on this site.
I am anti-fascist, anti-capitalism and anti-authoritarian.. I feel that I may be leaning towards anarcho-socialism or some form of tribalism but think that I have much more to learn before I can decide anything.
I am pro-community, first and foremost; people are the greatest thing that happened. Lately, I feel that capitalism is keeping us from building the kind of community that most people want but don't realize we won't achieve it until we separate ourselves from it.
I support mom and pop shops, like nobody else I know. I'm hoping to get involved in Food Not Bombs very soon (anyone here in the North County area, too?). I think the meat & dairy industries are one of the worst there are; I'm a vegetarian attempting to go vegan again. I don't believe in social class. I am for abortion rights and women's rights. For gay rights. I am for direct action. Against war. Am I missing anything here? :p
I'm 18 and everything is a learning process right now. I share my opinions quite often but mostly in hopes that others will share too and perhaps...fine-tune what I've already learned? I'm just looking for other people I can learn from. But I must say, sometimes I doubt myself too often!
That's all I can think of to say for now! :p
