i have a friend who actually studies psychology at the university, she's kind of a scientific imp, completly crazy, hates european-centrist thinking and the psychotherapist establishment like hell and has become quite famous for her heretism at the faculty.
she lured about nine people from her classes into doing the top five of the usual standard IQ-tests anonymously for her, one per day and the whole project took weeks to complete. after the last tests were finished she did the statistics and gave the results via somebody else to three of the facultys professors for evaluation.
the result:
the professors evaluated around 37(!) different people with very different IQ's, the point-difference varied so greatly that it was impossible to assign the majority of evaluations back to the test person.
talk about scientific significance... shananana!

This woman sometimes isn't human anymore, she's the walking bane of idiots with a degree, she's somehow burning with hate against the "daily crime" in science and psychiatry and completely ignorant about the consequences of her mission for herself and her future. Too bad that we can not convince her to contribute to the organized struggle, she's more the "evolutionary" kind, but nevertheless:

Is it wrong for a man to believe men are smarter than women "based on his own thoughts and observations"? People don't understand that sexism is a two way street, and that belief is just as ignorant as a chauvinist one. But yeah dude whatever.

 

i don't see how i'm being sexist in saying i have observed and i opine that women are smarter then men.

 

if some women are smarter than some men, i think it's not because of the biological gender specific differences like brainstructure ect., but because they had a healthy and free socialisation or a bad one that forced them to learn how to do things better. there are also some women smarter than other women, some men smarter... and i'm believing that noone is smarter in general than anybody else, everyone has his weaknesses too and noone is perfect - but it's a perfect reason to share our strengths with each other.

 

If someone was saying the same thing you are, but with men instead of women, how would you feel? Just playing the devil's advocate here
