I'm already going off-topic, but i would also like to know what our members thinks of Last.FM

Last.FM is a commercial site that has nothing to do with anarchism

BUT you can find a lot of informations about the bands on this site...

I could add a feature to the site where you can get the biography and view last.fm page for each of the bands available in our download section.

So everytime you download something, there would be a link to the band's Last FM page where you can read the band's biography.

Could be useful until we get our own encyclopedia and bands database up and running on Anarcho-Punk.net

i'm not entirely sure, but i think lastfm is where i get a fair bit of album art for more popular bands. all my mp3 collection has embedded artwork, as graphic artists are people who really got the rough end of the stick in the whole mp3 revolution and it's at least a nod towards their efforts. merely tokenistic, but there regardless.

I've got the last.fm scrobbler embedded into itunes so I can see a list of recent tracks, most played, and all kinds of other data about my listening habits. it's pretty neat to look at that stuff if you're a nerd like me, i guess.
I really don't go to my last.fm profile that often though.

For a lot of people Last FM is about the only thing they can listen to at work. Much as I might have wanted to belt out the new Nile LP or go all retro with a spot of Heresy or The System I had to content myself with The Cravats or Lilliput on Last FM.
It’s also a good way of saving yourself the hassle of downloading a full torrent from a band you might not be that keen on so I don’t see the harm in putting a link to the bands bio there on the download section.
Yeah it might well be a commercial concern with no affinity to Anarcho politics but why not use it as a resource?
I can’t imagine everyone on here is logging on using computers that they found in the street, which happened to come preloaded with a Linux O/S and free software, while pedalling furiously to keep the generator going!
