just wonderin how many anarcho sk8 punx are on here ???? skate or die !!!!
bahh i havent seen sk8 for a while.. yea i use it for transportation i eat shit in bowls hah
i started skating in 3rd grade, i can't afford any broken bones though, so i use it for transportation, but a die hard fan of sk8ing and all it freedoms lol... i ride a mystery deck with ace high profile trucks, spitfire wheels with reds...
i only do because my friend forced me to and use it for temporary transportation, i don't have a car
Fuck yeah! i need a new board though and a season change
Yeah! I haven't skate for about 7 years now. It still lives within me. Skate or die!!!
Hells yeah, have been since i got into punk my favorite mode of transportation also "Don't try to understand it The most destructive high Shoots my nerves into the sky"
i used to skate when i was younger (and had health insurance) but ive fucked myself up enough times. Now i limit myself to just longboarding around places
fuck yeah!but i havent skate for about 9 years...... since i got hooked on bongs....!!ahahahah!!
Same here. It's too damn cold to skate most days. And my board's too small for me. Anyone wanna hook a brother up with an eight inch deck? Try both. I can skate better after a few bonghits, plus it feels way more incredible tearing up concrete waves.
yes. one of my passions.
I started skating again last summer - I sucked pretty hard.
I have a plan to try it once the snow goes away, so i have a few months to talk my sk8ing friends into trying to teach me and to carry me home afterwards
I'm a really, really big guy...6foot 5inches 270 pounds size 13 feet skated for most of my life, but they dont make decks for people my size anymore...my last good sized deck was a Schmitt Stix Reese Simpson model that was 10.5 inches wide I'm 42 now and haven't skated in over 6 years if I could find another new old school deck I'd probably start again...nothin like crackin concrete with some solid Indy's
I've been thinking of making a solid cruising board using forkligft wheels, just some weird shit I thought. I have no experience boarding whatsoever, but it seemed like a fun idea, anywone have any comments or tips?
Santa Cruz and Powell are both making re-releases of their oldschool decks in the original shapes and sizes, so maybe check on-line. I know you can pick up an oldschool Steve Caballero Deck on line at various skate shops. I have been skating since 3rd grade and I am now 28 so I've been doing it for a while. I however was never really focused on doing tricks, I just did what felt good... one of the great feelings in life is landing a sweet pop-shovit, or doing a nive boardslide. I still skate occasionally but not all the time like when I was a kid. Skating got me into punk, because of skating I heard bands like Black Flag, and it really changed my life. Right now I ride a Black Label deck, with Thunder Trucks, and Speed Demon wheels. "Build Ramps Not Bombs"!
I'm the same age as you. There are alot of old school size decks out there. Alva, Wes Humpston, Z-Flex, Santa Monica Airlines and such. Also. you can get re-issues from Vision, Powell and such of 80's decks. If you can't find anything your way, look up Rip City Skates. They have a lot of old school sized decks. http://www.ripcity.net/ I ride a copy of a Schmitt Stix Yardstick that I cut out with some alterations. It's 10x38 and a boat with 169 Thunders and 60mm Spitfire Classics. Fucked my back up bad that required surgery 6 years ago. Not allowed in the parks or ramps anymore. But I do cruise every once in awhile.
Sick! They definitely have some boards that will fit, the Dogtown Pool Skool looks very yummy... thanks
Ive been skating for 20 years...and i still suck haha. Besides i dont wanna bail & ruin my ink so i just use it for transport these days. Got a darkstar deck, with tensor trucks and speed demon bearings
i've been skating like 5 or 6 years but not as much as i use to. my knees got really fucked up and my old skate buddies "grew up".
