This band broke many of the 'rules' of the scene when they appeared,
often taking their musical and personal influences from the likes of Minor
Threat and the emerging US hardcore attitude rather than the prevalent UK
anarcho-punk ideology of the time. This also saw them distancing themselves
from it politically to some extent, and they were critical of the sometimes
self-righteous, hypocritical and destructive elements within the anarcho-punk
    movement.

Described by some as anti-everything nihilists, misunderstood and despised
by many, increasingly beriddled by contradictions and disagreements
internally (all of which proved to be major contributions to their short-lived
existence) they were, without doubt, an explosive mix.

After the band's demise, vocalist John Cato became a leading figure in far-
right politics and was rightly ostracised by those who had once supported
him. But, despite their often antagonistic approach to things, the band
    themselves never espoused fascist ideals.
