(A-Radio) Azerbaijan: state repression and the anarchists speech

    Dear all,

In May of 2016, two of our comrades in Azerbaijan, Qiyas Ibrahimov and Bayram Mammadov, were arrested for spraypainting the monument of the former dictator Haydar Aliev. It was on the night before the so-called "Flower holiday", a day made up in conmemoration of Haydar, the father of the current President of Azerbaijan. Nonetheless, as the charges for spraypainting would not have been very high, more than 1 kilogram of heroin was planted in each of our comrades' homes.

They were processed on different trials. Qiyas has already been sentenced to 10 years of prison, his friend Bayram Mammadov is still on trial.

From Azerbaijani comrades we received the text of Qiyas' speech in front of the jury, him being interrupted regurlarly by the judge. In support of his case, we made an audio version of this speech and the judge's comments.

    Dear all,

In the end of November of 2016 we had the opportunity of recording a presentation in Berlin by the Anarchist Black Cross in Czech Republic on the topic of Operation Fenix. The talk comprised the following topics: a short review of what had happened, the use of the term „terrorism“, the topic of solidarity in Czech Republic and in general, a reflection on mistakes and how to deal with repression and police infiltrators, and finally the current development of the anarchist movement in that country.

(A-Radio) Brazil 1: Indigenous Struggles in the Amazon

    Dear all,

In May 2017 we had the opportunity to have a talk with Daniel, an activist living in the Brazilian territory of the Amazon. The conversation touches on the general situation in Brazil and focusses on the recent history of indeginous struggles in the Amazon against capitalist expansion and exploitation, especially the ongoing resistance of the Munduruku communities and their use of direct action to demarcate and defend their territories. A culmination of anti-colonial, social and ecological fights on the frontier of the enclosure and integration of capitalism of our planet.

    Dear all,

In June we talked to Elisa from the indymedia collective of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Elisa has been involved in the anarchist movement for a long time and is one of the cofounders of the Brazilian Indymedia. Which in turn is one of the earliest counter information projects using the name and mode of Indymedia. In the conversation we talk about the political developments in Brazil of the last years as well as how the autonomous movements have been reacting to them.

(A-Radio) Reportback from Charlottesville: Unite the Right and the murder of Heather Heyer

    Dear all,

On August 11 and 12th, fascists of different stripes organized a rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, they called "Unite the Right". Counter protesters and antifascists mobilized and managed to practically stop this ugly event. A fascist then drove his car into a group of counter protesters, wounding more than a dozen and killing Heather Heyer in the process.

As Anarchist Radio Berlin we had the opportunity of talking to a comrade from the US who participated in the antifascists protests. We talked about the Unite the Right event as such, about the different forms of fascists gathering there, about the counterprotests, the tragic murder of Heather Heyer and the medic and trauma facilities made available by antifascists groups. Also we tackle the topic of people discussing arming themselves and how to go forward from here.

(A-Radio) Chile: The hungerstrike of Mapuche Political Prisoners in the Iglesias Case (112 days!)

    Dear all,

This audio is based on material from Voces de la Disidencia.

Alfredo Tralcal Coche, Pablo Trangol Galindo, Benito Trangol Galindo and Ariel Trangol Galindo are imprisoned precisely in the jail in Temuco, Chile, since July 9th of 2016, accused of setting a church on fire with only one piece of evidence against them: the statement of a witness without a face who claims to have seen a truck similar to that of Lonko Alfredo Tralcal Coche near the fire.

After one year deprived of their liberty, without evidence against them, without a set sentence or a reasonable date of trial, on july 7th of 2017, the comuneros decided to begin an indefinite hunger strike with the following demands: 1) fair trial within a reasonable date; 2) no to the use of the antiterrorist law 18314; 3) no to the use of witnesses without faces; 4) liberty under article 140; 5) repeal of the cautionary measure of preventative prison.

(A-Radio) Chile - 13.-19.1.2020: Week of Solidarity with the Political Prisoners

    Dear all,

As A-Radio Berlin we have recorded a call by the Coordinating Committee for the Freedom of the Political Prisoners of October 18th.

You'll find the audio (to listen online or download in different sizes) here: http://aradio.blogsport.de/2020/01/...mana-de-solidaridad-con-lxs-presxs-politicxs/

    Length: 2:43 min

You can find other English and Spanish language audios here: http://aradio.blogsport.de/englishcastellano/.

    ****************
    Text of the call:

After more than 80 days since the popular revolt started in Chile, the struggle and social organising persists, with an unyielding conviction to confront and break with this economic and power model which has perpetuated inequalities, injustices and abuses for decades. Without a doubt, the revolt that is still in the air in Chile has meant an inflection point, a point of no return in a long road of struggles, but it has also brought heavy costs with it: Hundreds and hundreds of prisoners of this territory. Every week this number increases. In a clear phenomenon of massive arrests, the state looks to scare and criminalise social protests. We talk about political prisoners of the revolt because the massive arrests of those fighting after the explosion of the revolt on the 18th of October responds to a political decision of the state and not to technical or judiciary criteria, putting in evidence the complicities of the different powers of the state, all with the purpose of perpetuating the existing control model.

That is why we make this International call of solidarity with the prisoners of the revolt, to expose the political condition of their imprisonment and demand their immediate freedom. We extend this call and appeal to the many initiatives and solidarity actions that may appear in each territory.

International Week of Solidarity with the prisoners of the revolt in Chile: January 13th to 19th 2020

Those who forget political prisoners forget the struggle!
Immediate freedom for the prisoners of the revolt!

Coordinating Committee for the Freedom of the Political Prisoners of October 18th

(A-Radio) Brazil 2020 (1): Em fevereiro tem carnaval - A conversation about Brazil and exile (Part 1)

    Dear all,

In this Podcast we dive deep into the whole complex of the contemporary history and current situation in Brasil. We publish a long conversation with two Brazilian immigrants recorded in Lisbon in Dezember 2019.

    N. is a 19 year old transsexual, who left Brazil as fast as possible because of violence and discrimination against trans people. After getting himself sorted in his new surrounding he connected fast to the
    queer and anarchist movement.

    V. is a long time militant and organized anarchist. His dream is to work as a teacher, but this perspective is blocked for him in Brazil, because of his political past, activities and ideas. Furthermore he is facing possible high charges for his involvement in the 2013 uprisings.

The podcast is split into two parts. To make it more accessible for people not willing to listen the full length we publish some timestamps here.
