Shot Nerves - Demo Tape - 2012 (Canada)

    I've been meaning to come on here and post my bands demo tape. The band is Shot Nerves. We were a hardcore punk band from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada that was around from about 2010-2012. We played tons of shows all around Ontario and Quebec with some amazing bands, and even opened for a few of our favourites like Hellbastard and The Nils. We were 100% DIY, played ONLY all ages shows, booked all of our home-town shows by ourselves, and our demo tape was put out on my DIY label. We were influenced by shit like Koro, Poison Idea, Iconoclast, Discharge, Bones Brigade, Limp Wrist, Career Suicide, Under Pressure, DS-13, Resist, Filth, Kaaos, Lip Cream, etc.etc.

    Here's a "bio" that my guitarist and I wrote a while back: "Displeased and pissed off. From the burning frustration and anger about the uprising in police brutality, the city’s lack of community involvement and initiative for youth, the Harper government, the public transit system, homophobia and transphobia, racist scum, cliquey high school drivel, and peoples ill-natured shit attitudes comes vicious anxiety, and SHOT NERVES. A raging and rapidly spreading conflagration of hardcore punk from this “glorious” government town, the capital of Canada. Started in the fall of 2010 by a few friends (and some enemies) with a plan to bring their frantic rage to the somewhat stagnant all ages hardcore and punk community in Ottawa, and joining the others who are trying to do the same."
