    does anyone know/like this band?

i do like em a lot although I don't understand Spanish at all I put their lyrics in google translator and try to understand it (google translator does shitty translations) but anyway the music is good the lyrics have a pretty good massage to them too (as far as i know) and I think you could consider them as anarchist?
well whatever just thought it would be an interesting topic XD

They are definitely Anarchists, most of their songs are written against bullfighting, (destructive) violence, social bleakness, drug suppression/drug abuse, temp(work) agencies, consume society including it's special aspects war and globalisation, and they are - except for their strong believe in a three legged tom cat named Lopez' who mythically founded the band - atheists too.
Almost perfect attitude, the only a bit less glorious side is their (former?) label BMG, it's big business - but it made them almost famous and wide known.
A few years ago some german Anarchists called for a boycott because the lyrics of the song "intifada", the germans called it antisemitic - but it was only critisizing the israeli-government and the accusation is wrong and somehow stupid, german special I guess after they did some touring with the notorious rip-off's tote hosen.
I've seen them in junk-infested Madrid around 1998 and I really love them, especially for their social commitment, giving and supporting health care for addicts ect.

    Ska-p is really good!
I agree with you vassily , i've seen them too in "Festa do Avante" , and they were awesome , there was a music where they had one of them dresses as a riot police , another was the pope with a stick in the ass, another as a capitalist and a puppet :)

Yep, the shows were pure sensation beyond words, non-stop-cabaret with the highest hit-the-point-rate per second I've ever seen.
Somewhere we got the complete english lyrics, I'll post it as soon as I find it.

I don't agree with them ( http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ska-P ). They are type who says that they want to destroy system from inside, and that's bullshit. I love their music, but I don't see them as anarchists. Sining on a Pepsi fest ? Sony as a label ?

right, ska-p toured in germany with the pop-poser-punks tote hosen and it was not only contradictory, but very expensive too. on the other hand they became known by an audience which would never have learned of Ska-p otherwise - i think they are anarchists, the lyrics and statements are clearly anarchist, but the band/the management is not consequent enough.
they have not released anything since 2008 and an announced reunion didn't happen, the members still play in other, less successful bands - maybe they aren't sure themselves about the "old" Ska-P.
but besides the business thing: i really love them too.

besides the business-inconsequence they truly deserve it, i will do it as soon as possible, but because of the low network speed here i'll have to visit a net-cafe, i'll include the lyrics and some great stage photos!

    Love them :D
I was in France in '02 and I went into a music store. There was a big display with the then new Ska-P album. I had never heard of the band but was attracted to the cover art and "Ska" in their name. I bought the album and listened to it that night. Went back the next day and bought all the others!

Awesome Ska Punk. I understand they (or were) hugely popular in Europe.
