Hey everyone, Well, I'm new here. I'm an old guy with kids and grandkids. I used to be super active in the punk scene about 25 years ago and always tried to keep up with new bands as they came out. At some point, life took over, and I started spawning new humans. Throughout it all, I've always hated conforming and tried to live by the principles that first drew me to this community. But kids are outrageously fucking expensive, so I did what I had to do, and the sacrifice was worth it—my oldest became a vet tech and my youngest a school teacher. Now that they're off on their own, spawning new humans themselves, I find myself slowly reclaiming the part of me that I put in the closet next to my studded jacket. The world is going to hell in a handbasket—racial division, divisive media, and politicians more corrupt than ever. There's never been a better time to get back into the scene and do something that might actually make a difference instead of living like some suburban drone. Cheers.
