i personally find SG to be dull (not seen one dodgy backyard punk-as-fuck tatt yet!!!), and about as alternative as voting for the greens. however...

on exploitation: some peoples bodies are "exploited" by labouring all day in the sun on construction sites, building the infrastructure of society, exposed to dangerous amounts of ultraviolet. so have these blue collar joes "sold themselves out" to make a living?

modelling is a job. so's construction work. one seems to be distorted by all sorts of far-left ethics as "exploitation", and the other as working class "heroism". some people are comfortable enough with their bodies to pose naked, others to have their's used as labour. you can debate on one being more necessary than the other, but if you apply that logic to all forms of employment then a LOT of people are going to pull short straws.

i personally find much of so called "politically correct" views on sexuality to be extremely conservative, telling other people what they should do with their own body is akin to the arguments used by pro-lifers.

    but that's just me.

I know a couple of Suicide Girls and my last gf was one. I know a lot about the process of being one and how it works and they most definately are not exploited. There are plenty of girls on the edge of this industry that genuinely are exploited and focusing on SGs is just a waste of resources.

Yes it is a tough industry and the grrls, guys and trans people I know from the industry are as hard as coffin nails and put up with no shit. If you cannot deal with the bullshit then its not the job for you...I saw it as free choice...people who are forced into it or don't do out of free choice should not enter the industry they will be eaten alive.
