“Cities have been destroyed, tens of thousands of dead. Millions of refugees and the economic crisis, Torture, terror and lies of propaganda have become everyday.
But Putin’s dictatorship is not enough. They need more territory, more power at any cost.
Protest against wars, state violence and various forms of discrimination was part of the punk scene. But our voice began to subside due to repression.
So now we need to unite more than ever. Look around and remember that each of us is not alone in fighting this horror.
There are many of us, and standing shoulder to shoulder, we confidently declare: We are against the war started by Russia!
Let music unite and inspire us again!
For peace and freedom! United & Stop War!”

 

We publish the second part of the musical collection “Punks against the war”

180 groups from Russia took part in it. We decided to publish music in parts. Meet the second selection of 23 tracks.

The collection «Punks Against War» has taken place. In total, 10 parts were released with the participation of 243 musical projects from Russia.

We tried to unite the participants and make the voice of punk rock louder, despite the lies of propaganda and increased repression. The number of musicians represented is not a complete list of everyone who is against the war. It is just one way to show that everyone is not fighting this horror alone — there are many of us and punk rock has stayed true to its ideals.

There are many more who are indifferent. Many musicians could not take part in the compilation for various reasons. Some didn’t want to give old tracks, others were afraid of reprisals. Some supported the idea, but couldn’t fully agree with our manifesto. And someone, of course, just didn’t know about the existence of this compilation because of its underground component.

Still, several hundred participants and a much larger number of listeners came together. Thanks to everyone who took part and helped informationally! We did a very important thing!

The project was non-commercial, but we sent the voluntary donations collected on the platforms to help Ukrainian refugees.

All parts of the compilation are on Bandcamp. Playlists on different streaming platforms will be available soon.
