Dunno if anyone will be into this, but I'm a big fan of underground film and I've been looking to different forms of what could be considered 'punk cinema'. One pretty cool/interesting offshoot of it that I discovered a little while back was the Cinema of Transgression; which grew out of the No Wave arts and music scene in New York during the late 1970's. Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinema_of_Transgression Just thought I'd share a page on the awesome Ubuweb website - which specialises in obscure/experimental film - which features a few works from the Cinema of Transgression. I highly recommend Jon Moritsugu's Mommy, Mommy, Where's My Brain? (which takes the piss out of MTV, New Wave, modern art and consumer culture, amongst other things) and David Wojnarowicz & Tommy Turner's Where Evil Dwells. Linkage: http://www.ubu.com/film/transgression.html Now I'll admit, a lot of these are a very acquired taste (as far as the page goes, the further down you go, the better they get), very experimental and bizarre, but just thought I'd direct the attention of whoever's interested. There's a bunch of this stuff (and some No Wave cinema stuff) up on YouTube as well.
