Swedish DisDaniel - Ung, Dum Och Punk (1999)

DisDaniel is a one man band concisting of a close friend of mine. That's why I got one of the very few tapes that was made. It's been incredibly hard to find this tape again (I lost mine shortly after recieving it because I... well beer happened and the rest I think you can imagine). He was bored one day and recorded a few tracks. He didn't care about audio levels and things like that as it was just to pass time. At the time of recording (around 1999) he was 17.

Diskriminering (Discrimination)

Reclaim the streets in Malmö, september 9th 2000
800 kids are dancing in the street
The cops violently attacks
160 kids were put in custody
The same year a lot of workers are protesting
Several docks are completely shut off
Isn't that bigger whan blocking a street
But the cops just watches

What kind of fucking discrimination is that
The cops distinguishes between people
The grownups' protests are accepted
The kids' are answered with violence

A squat in Linköping, kids are fighting for a house of the youth (don't know the english word for the concept "ungdomshus", a place where kids go to socialize, put up shows, do workshops, movienights and all that good stuff)
A place without the involvement of grownups
With tear gas and batons the cops are attacking
A few months later in Mariestad
Seniors are squatting a hospital wing
To stop closure
Where are you and your batons now?


Kapitalismen Måste Bort (Capitalism Must Go)

In today's society capitalism leads to people being stressed into mental burnout
Kids are pressured by the sick demands of school, if you can't do it you're worthless

Capitalism must go before it's too late

Exploitation of the third world, show no consideration because profit is everything
The fact that our environment is going to shit doesn't matter
Capitalism leads to ruin

The segregation is increasing, a society completely wrong

No one acts because the apathy is the norm
The pressure to be normal is huge
I'm no role model, no, a lot of things aren't adding up
