In line with the best bands youve seen live... what are the worst? And im not saying you hate the band, they just didnt have a good show. I was reminded in the other thread of a really bad show which was Cheap Sex, others include:

The Casualties (though ive seen them a lot, they put on a band show one time, they left early etc. etc.)

there are others but i cant think of em right now. I just had that one in my head, i had completely forgot about it.

Actually worst I've seen was a party at the venue I work at. The DJ's showed up late, were still decorating the place when the door should've opened and were arrogant as fuck.
That wouldn't've been so bad if they'd actually made it worthwhile... but they didn't.

A free show of some emo band called Aiden.
Besides it being in a mall parking lot, The music sucked
and the people on either side of the wall of death were about 2 feet apart.

worst audience i ever witnessed was at a Subhumans show about ten years ago... I wanted to kill them all. the band had tro stop and restart songs several times because the audience was being so bad, and at one point when the band stopped they started chanting RIOT RIOT. Of course it was mostly wanna be kids in uniforms, and I'd wager most of the m now aren't into punk anymore anyways. they were annoying, disrespectful, and made an otherwise good show completely unpleasent...

I went to a Rancid show. It was even worse than you'd think.

First: The crowd. good 80-90% frat fucks. Few people who looked or acted like they should be at a punk show
Second: Related to the first point, the opening bands.First was the House that Gloria Vanderbilt. I liked them, most of the frat douches didn't.
Then H2O. Bog, I hate this band. Bunch of frat morons who bitched about how there were no "mohicans in the mosh pit." Probably because everyone in the pit for their set had their sideways Phi Theta Jackass hats on.
That sounds really judgmental but it was an awful crowd. Few people helping others up, no circle movement, lots of punches.
Third, Rancid is "meh" as a band. They were better live than on their recordings but it was not a good experience overall.

The Subhumans-related post reminds me of the time I saw them (really great show w/ Caustic Christ and World Inferno). Great quote from that show:
Middle school kid in Black Flag t-shirt: "Man, World Inferno Fags had better finish their set. I wanna see the subhumans and I gotta be home by 11."
For the record, I refrained from punching the little shit.

E-play is the worst band I have ever seen in concert. Which means shit all to most of you, but it's hard to explain just how bad and incompetent this band was, and for some reason after a slight line up adjustment they got on TV, and have been around since. It could be because it's mostly women in the band but still local commercial music is a puzzle nobody could solve, I'm thinking something rather kinky is involved...

I saw Agnostic Front at a very large festival some years back the singer was so pathetic I couldn't stop laughing...

decaysvegan here writing for the first time. The worst band I have ever seen was Pennywise, the first time they came to Sydney Australia. I'm embarrassed to admit that I actually saw them. They were such dickheads sucking up to the audience, saying how Aussie beer was the best in the world. The Audience was full of violent thickheads who think punk is about being an idiot and groping women. It was truely horrible. My two female friends had to hide behind the mixing desk to escape the violence.

I saw Save Ferris, Diesel Boy, The Vandals and Blink 182 at a show way back in the day. It was a christmas show so the vandals played mostly their lame ass xmas songs. That is a line up i couldnt be paid to ever see in concert again... (thugh i like a few blink and vandals songs, that im not so embarassed about, but again their audience and dumb lyrics get to me after time...)

For real! I just saw them last weekend and I was sorely disappointed. They sound a lot better recorded. Fortunately, Goatwhore and Eyehategod made it worth the price of my ticket.

Worst show I've ever been to was Japanther at Plan-It-X fest. They took half an hour to set up all their gimmicky props (a phone receiver for a mic? that's so wacky!) and then proceeded to suck while the crowded fawned over them for it. I got pushed up on stage by the crowd even though I didn't really want to be up there but decided, "all right, I'll try to get into this since everyone else seems to like it." Two minutes later, some kid taps me on the back and asks me to get off the stage because he can't see. :/ This just illustrates why I should only attend punk and metal shows!

I was actually quite disappointed with a lot of performances at Maryland Deathfest if anyone knows what that is. A lot of grind/ death metal bands... mediocre performance, noone hardly moving (except for Napalm Death but they are awesome) But still had a fun time there.

I thought of another band I hated... There was a paying audience in the venue that night of 7, of which 3 remained and the volunteers that were working greatly outnumbered the visitors. The audience had a great time, though, so hell.
Anyway, the band was called Harry Merry and the Must. Some weird stoned as fuck hippy with an atonal, amusical keyboard-melody screeching some hideously off-key, dissonant vocals in a combination that sounds like a weak attempt at Frank Zappa (which I don't like anyway) heavily influenced by LSD, shrooms, weed and numerous other drugs.

I saw Built to Spill at the Siren Music Fest on Coney Island last year, and it was awful awful awful. Actually most of the bands that played that year were sad, Williamburg-hispter light and fluffy poo-poo pompous Pabst vomit. Not worth it.

Sex Pistols a couple of years ago, i knew i should'nt of gone but my girlfriend talked me into it. The first band were shit, then an hour or so of Drum and Bass(i like Drum and Bass but not at a punk gig) then the Pistols came on and all i could hear was a voice in my head saying "ever had the feeling you've been cheated". 2 songs later i left, then waited outside for my girlfriend and friend. They loved it and i thought it was the biggest waste of £35 i've ever spent.
