    It's been while since I've bought one due to not having a record player but I think they normally go for around 3 bucks depending on how rare it is

    $4 -$5. $3 is a good price, but also one from 1983.
    How you determine a wholesale price of an EP : Add together manufacturing / recording cost + what you have to pay the band in copies or cash = expenses. Estimate what kind of profit and cost of shipping you need to make on top of that. Take the amount of copies you have for sale ( less what you give the band) and divide into the combination of cost+ estimate profit to make sure it works out.

    Now remember a distributor will add 20%, a store will add 50% of the distributor price. Some more, some less.

    So if you figure out you need to make $3, It's going to be $3.60 through a distributor, then $5.40 -$5.50 in stores. This is how 7" records end up being $8.98 at amoeba, as people either miscalculate, don't understand or do small runs / want to make a $1-$2 a 7" which is... difficult.

    Of course if you sell the records at Retail, you make more $.
