I hardly abstain I'll drink any beer I can get my hands on, but mostly I drink the following brands: Jupiler (best one in this short list), Schultenbrau (cheap half litre cans) and Amstel (shittiest one, but it's always in the garage 'cause my dad drinks it)
Apart from that I also like cider (we only have Strongbow here, but at least they're draughts), Duvel, Karmeliet and Westmalle Dubbel.

    I can't stand Strongbow.

I drank it at a show one time and the aftertaste reminded me of vomit. Won't touch it now.

It's not really a gourmet brew, it's a pretty standard beer from Belgium, but the best 'normal' beer you can get around here. Besides almost everything is better than Heineken *shudders*. Our neighbours brought us a sixpack of Budweiser from Czech tho, so I'm pretty interested in that as well.
Amstel is from the same brewery as Heineken and not as horribly sweet, but a bit too bitter for my liking and Schultenbrau.... well it's 35 cents for a half litre, so that's the reason I drink it, you won't notice the taste after the second can anyway.
Duvel is quite a strong beer, blonde colour, interesting taste, Karmeliet is a trappiste, very strong, takes you a while to finish a glass (takes me at least half an hour, 'cause it's quite filling) and Westmalle Dubbel is a dark, slightly sweet trappiste.

    wow
this will take me awhile to take in.
I am american and midwestern at that!
Europe has definitely got US beat on a lot of things,
    and this is one.
I can tell you about the budweiser you are soon to consume
its from the south united states Of A. i wanna say alabama.
it's alright but im not that in love with it.
I want to call it tart. ..... its almost like seltzer water.
thats the small taste i get but i still ike it.
i suppose it has a german background which is good when it comes to lager.
I'm a huge fan of pabst blue ribbon but if i want a good tasting beer to sip
i go for LFB. riverwest stein.
there are others but i usually have my friends pick and choose
    (noob :ecouteurs: core)
If you like budweiser try and grab some pints of Miller highlife
    thanks for the post
im going to look for some of these tomorrow

Actually... the Budweiser you have there is ripped off and mutilated from an Eastern European recipe, something the Czech version is a lot closer to ;)
A guy I know brews his own, tried an ale he brewed last week, reminded me of Palm (long story, basically a Dutch or Belgian ale-derivative). The ale was pretty interesting, if a bit young, so it went to your head virtually immediately... lol

    Budweiser.

damn, bro, that shit is apparently a staple
    out here!!! :lmao:

anyway try those other three i told you about!
if world trade has done anything right
    it's probably alcohol and cigs.

Well... i dont drink alcohol too much as well, but if i have a beverage it would have to be hard cider. Woodchucks especially but thats about it. Not a huge fan of alcohol and its effects.

Last night was the annual Frijole-fest with three Mexican-American Punk bands doing half spanish half english songs....drank 5 24oz Pabst Blue Ribbons and a 32oz bottle of Tecate and danced and sweated and got so carried away with drink and music that I did a punk flip into convulsions on stage... :lmao: hadn't been inspired to dance that hard in 15 years!

    :beers: :lmao:

I figure i'll stop drinking once I turn of legal age to actually drink
underage inebriation = the best of times
and there is no doubt in my mind about that

that's what i did, once i was old enough, drinking just seemed lame. besides the system wants us to be drunk so they can more easily take advantage of us, so I at least feel im making it that much less easier for them.

Cool, good to know i'm not alone in that

Yeah I'm not a drinker either.

Like, I'll have one drink if someone wants to buy me one (I do like the taste of most spirits, not beer or wine though), but I usually just have a couple of cans of V (energy drink) if I'm with my mates when they're drinking. The idea of getting drunk just doesn't appeal to me.
