It's a good movie. Highly recommended. It makes you question the choice you would make in that situation. I don't want to give away any spoilers.

Some classic trallpunk! Not sure if there's an international term for it, it's melodic punk with sarcastic and/or political lyrics that was very popular here in Sweden around the late 80:s and 90:s.

Translated lyrics because they're great:

Also oooh nice, lol . Yeah, trallpunk started in Sweden with bands like Asta Kask paving the way. It translates roughly to 'melodic' or 'melodious' punk and is characterized by a particular style of melodic, fast punk (possibly with some elements of folk music?) and, as you said, sarcastic and/or political lyrics. I wonder if it's got something to do with tralala. Tra-la-la-punk, lol

It does! "Tralla" is the swedish word (a verb) for when someone is singing a little simple (and positive) melody. This is then shortened down to "trall" so it can be attached to the word punk in a smooth way. So "tra-la-la-punk" would be the most accurate translation when taking the swedish intent behind the word into account.

It's also quite ironic that a lot of trallpunk is very melancholic when the very genre term suggests the opposite.

An example of a positive (and somewhat nonsensical) trallpunk song would be De Lyckliga Kompisarnas "Hockeyfrilla" which is a song about... mullets (the chorus goes "mu- mu- mu- mu- mu- mullet!!").

Yeah that makes total sense. True, some of it is on the melancholic side. I'd say I almost like the melancholic trallpunk more than the happy trall. I'll put up 2 examples of what I would consider more melancholic trall - but that's just my opinion, maybe you had something even more melancholic in mind?

Ah, so an ice hockey hairstyle (ishockeyfrisyr) is a mullet?
