That's actually pretty cool What genre is that actually? Is it Irish music or Country music? I mean I'm pretty sure a lot of Country music (at least certain styles of country music) was influenced by Irish Folk music.

I've got Rainbow - Stargazer


The song is basically about this wizard who intends to fly off to some star and has all his people believing him, as they slave away to build him a tower of stone just to see him fly. In the end, as he tries to fly off, he falls to his death and the people are free.

I think it simply means we shouldn't blindly trust our leaders who often just have their own selfish
ambitions as they try to sell us their bullshit.

 

Possibly also that in the end it was the people who facilitated his demise by building the tower.

 

It's from the Lion King and is sung by Jeremy Irons (and Jim Cummings when Jeremy threw his voice out in the bit "you won't get a sniff without me")

I got Paramore today (from an indie and alternative radio station on Listnr)

 

I've never had the opportunity to listen to Paramore but that wasn't quite what I'd expected. I may have to explore some more, so thank you for opening my ears.

Now...yeah, lets try to explain this. I've been...actually, lets not. Some 90's Madchester scene dance annoyance that my 1st wife (I blame her for everything 90's) use to put me through. Every week she would put on the TV, turn up the volume and sing along too / dance about while drinking cider from a can, The Word. This one was just the tip of her favourites...

That horrible noise was 90's Manchester Baggy Sound which was, I presume, big in the clubs. The gorgeous places that I frequented played more rock/punk and sleazy glam rock...

 

A lot of the music that I was growing up with as a teenager was angry music. Punk was the frame work that expressed myself through. Clothes, records, like-minded friends and above all, Hair! Eventually I was exposed to Crass and The Feeding Of The 5000. Everything changed in that instant.
So, today, in honor of that awakening, and it being the 80th anniversary of dropping the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima and three days later the second atomic bomb on Nagasaki....lets have some
