This really just makes it "legal" for them to do what they've been doing all along. Now they can just point to a bill instead of making up excuses.

We ain't down for the count tho. I believe good will ultimately triumph over evil.
But maybe that is cuz I saw Stars Wars too much as kid.

chances are we will have at least a small window of a couple years before we see this on a broad level, or maybe not, either way it would be wise to take steps to protect your on line Identity as dissidents like ourselves will be a target , I'm working on a basic tutorial to post as to what one can do to do this , would anyone find that helpful?

don't worry too much and - most of all: DON'T BE SCARED!
over here in europe we live since almost 40 years with this marshall laws/emergency fascist thingie, especially the germans were really busy to produce kinda big-brother program including banning "radicals" from profession in the education sector, general register for political activity ect. they pick out leftwingers by chance, in most cases only risking battles at civil courts going on for years, recent scandals and revealments show how blind the apparatus is on the "right" eye, up to the point where fascist groups are led and organized by employees of the federal intelligence services... shitty business, but far from being dangerous.

would the us-government be able to install and maintain a whole infrastructure of internment camps or military riot control in the cities, protect vital installations from sabotage or at least kinda resistance movement from organising and beating the drums?
how much can the government rely on a military already at the limits of efficiency and barely able to control technologically inferior opponents - tending rather to exterminate the civilian population than winning a war...

this rex84 paper came out almost 30 years before, NATO-structures and "emergency"-scenarios are much older in the making - i wonder why washington comes up with this paperwork now?
