    I don't know if Sweden sets itself apart from any other country when it comes to punk music, but if it does I have no idea why that is. :D

    All I know is the far right is quite big in Sweden. I think the far right got over 25% of the seats in parliament... I'm not sure about that percentage but I think it's close (it may even be more than 25%, you'd have to ask Starfighter).

    Yeah, it's a big clusterfuck right now... An old nazi party ("The Sweden Democrats", or SD for short) cleaned up their act, switched boneheads for suits, started shifting the political climate heavily to the right (so that the "moderate" right became the new normal and everything left of that was labeled "extreme" and yeah, you get the point) and managed to trick a large chunk of the voters. Even if they formally don't have any real power they've made the entire government dependable on their every whim (and it doesn't help that our prime minister and our ruling party at the moment is neo liberal-conservatives that has everything to gain on racial tensions to shift focus from their predatory capitalist shenanigans). Things are more right wing in general than it's been for many, many years.

    I very much enjoy having "FUCK SD" slapped right on my chest because I know that's pissing off every fourth person I see outside. :)
