Just an update, here's the list of all albums that were desactivated on March 30th. I just noticed that all albums include words like "naked", "penis", or "fucking". I'm pretty sure the albums got deleted because mediafire set up some sort of system to automatically delete porn uploads and they thought it was porn because of the name...

But yesterday 6 albums by some very well known anarcho-punk band was deleted and now my account on mediafire is suspended. That's the account where i have uploaded over 2000 albums for anarcho-punk.net. I will post a topic about that later.

    Crass - 1981 - Penis Envy (Lp).zip
    Naked Aggression - 1998 - Recordings 1991-1994.zip
    Naked Aggression - 1995 - Plastic World (Ep).zip
Oi Polloi - 2006 - Total Resistance To The Fucking System (Vinyl).zip
    Naked Aggression - 2005 - Heard It All Before.zip
    Crass - 1981 - Penis Envy (Lp).zip
    Naked Aggression - 1994 - Live @ Gilman, 11-25-94.zip
    Naked Aggression - 1994 - Bitter Youth.zip
Naked Aggression - 1993 - They Can't Get Me Down + Keep Your Eyes Open (10'').zip
    Naked Aggression - 1998 - Recordings 1991-1994.zip
    Naked Aggression - 1995 - Plastic World (Ep).zip

Music has not only been removed on this site, but also been subsequently being removed on other realms of the internet as well. It seems these problems had occurred because of the megaupload incident, especially sopa. I feel mediafire having account cancellations because they don't want to deal with the same shit megaupload was in. Your situation seem suspicious, but I heard it happen elsewhere as well.

If you are looking for other alternatives, just message me. I will give you links to other providers that are up and running pretty well. Also I have seen uploaders use acronyms or some sort of abbreviation on their file, which seem to stop mediafire from deleting shit. Though I won't recommend using mediafire again cause deletion may happen again.

Sooner or later, files are going to be deleted with any file hosting provider. Direct download is dead.

I've been thinking for alternatives since a while... Best for us is to either go with a FTP-based system and build our own file-hosting service like megaupload but no files will be deleted.

The other solution would be to build a torrent trackers integrated into the forum.

Either way, it's gonna cost a lot of money (at least $150 USD per month) and we can't afford it unless we find additional revenues. And it's gonna take DAYS to update all topics with the new links

I'm a little bit discouraged right now. I don't know what i will do, but i need to find a reliable solution to get back this music online again.

Well for the mean time this forum needs to band together and divvy up the pages and pages of deleted files for re-uploads....

Definitely. Once you get the gist of it, it isn't that difficult to reupload a file. Well, I still needed a dozen tries before getting it right... :/
