ok my name is wullie.im watties brother and I’ve been drumming in the exploited for near on 28 years
some of the shit you have put up on this site is laughable.
the picture with Irish rob our bass player with the Canadian guys.im sure you know who those guys are but you can take it from me we don’t know who they are. You say they are Nazis....well I’m sorry but when we meet people and get a picture taken with them, unless they have a fucking ss uniform on and a stupid moustache how the fuck are we supposed to know what their political views are, anyway all people do is troll the net looking for stuff to reinforce what they think people are and try to fit them into a wee box of “yeah i read that so it must be true”.
we have never been associated with any right wing or left wing politics. We are 4 individuals who come from different back grounds. as to the picture you put up of all those people who we don’t know and say they got back stage and got in for free. That is funny as hell as the picture there’s a porta toilet there we don’t have them in our dressing room and we certainly didn’t know who these people are and we did not let them in for free. Or have anything to do with them.Anyway I’m getting kind of sick of defending ourselves to internet warriors, who read stuff online and think it’s true. If we were Nazis and believe me we are not, there would be more than just 1 or 2 dodgy pictures on the net, we have been going for over 30 years if we were Nazis then we would say so. any way guys think for yourself and don’t just jump on the words of someone who doesn’t know the band ,who has never met the band and doesn’t have a clue what they are talking about, I’ve been a veggie for near on 30 years ,I’m into animal rights etc. love crass and other bands like flux etc. don’t believe all the rumours u get on line maybe if you met us at a gig and actually talked to us then u would see the truth .

Well wullie thank you for coming on and standing up for yourself, there is quite a bit of circumstantial evidence pointing in the direction of either "fence riding" or "looking the other way" from your brother and I don't think anyone is accusing the band of being actual nazi's...just rubbing elbows with them and being ok with it. But again we have to take people on their word and if you say you are not ok with that sort of thing then we have no choice but to believe you unless proven otherwise. in our 30 odd years as a band we have rubbed elbows with 1000s of different people some we like and loads we didn’t .you have to take in the fact that a picture lasts a fraction of a second and when people see that they draw conclusions without knowing what actually happens at that time. We have in the past had massive fights with neo skins in Britain and all over the world. I’m not saying we are angels but I felt strongly enough to come here and say that we do not support racism or oppression of any form, we are just four working class guys who like making loud fast angry music, we hear stories of wattie being involved in the bnp or being friends with the guy from screw driver, well that’s utter pish, we are from Scotland and are in no way connected or involved in that shite and like i said before have had many fights with these kind of arseholes
anyway I’ve said my rant and thanks for not just deleting my posts as has happened in many other forums such as this as some folk only want to believe what they want and not actual facts

I guess I'll go with mar on this one then..though, I still do remain skeptical. I mean, the whole instance with Haggis. You guys obviously scrambled to say you didn't know them, etc, but Wattie has multiple pictures wearing a Haggis shirt. It'd be pretty ridiculous to claim that you didn't know that they were Nazis either.

There's something fishy here, but like Mar said, until you prove (again) otherwise, I guess I'll just go with your word..

I would like to say to the poster good job with all the research you have done for your thread. Myself I have to say I agree with Mar and JC. I personally cannot base an opinion sadly until more evidence of the situation is revealed.

 

yet again i have to say "research" just google the exploited and you will get the same 3 or 4 pictures that you always reffer to but seem to ignore the hundreds of other pictures of wattie and the band with loads of people who arent "suspect" right wing types

He/she could of shown no photos period and just said what they wanted to say. Who cares if its the same ones you always see? At least the time was put into it to add a picture to prove what he was saying. With what you said why the fuck should I go to Google and look anything up? If you're claiming to be the brother of someone and you're so god damn worried about his name being shit on prove us wrong and show us the evidence that will end this whole thread in a dead halt.

 

HiYA, That's me in one of those photos and I am not a Nazi, Nationalist or any kind of racist.
I have spent a lot of my life trying to expand peoples realm of understanding the hard way and I think it's grossly unfair for you to accuse me of being some kind of right wing sympathiser. I've been playing bass with the exploited for nearly a decade and I would imagine anyone who knows any of us would laugh when you try to suggest that either Wullie (he posted above) or I have any of those kind of feelings/sympathies.
I realise the internet is full of shit, but from time to time I suggest people have more sense than to assume that some arm chair warrior who has never spoken to us but has decided we are "friends" with nazis actually check their facts, it is very hurtful to be accused of something I personally despise.
I have thousands of photos from the road which don't have dubious characters in them. If anybody has any interest in seeing them I'll gladly send 'em on.
