    Star Commander Biography

    (2009-2011)

    After Conor Oberst decided to quit playing music under his well known moniker Bright Eyes in late 2010 he move to Fort. Worth, Texas and proceed to form a new band playing the style of music he had always dream of, doom folk, under the name Star Commander. Oberst proceeded to clone himself twice, giving the clones the names Donovan Ford & Ryan Schefsky. He then realized he must change his name as well to avoid being raped by pre-teen girls who only listen to Lifted or The Story Is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground. The name he chose was Christian Medrano, yet no one knows why. It probably is related to reptilian shapeshifters, a few message boards speculate. Oberst stated in an underground interview with Lady Gaga that he has already written a full length album that is currently being mixed. Ah, but don't you go asking him about the project if you can find him in the deep shadows of Texas. He'll deny the projects existence with every breathe in his body.
