A huge thanx to all those who attended and supported ScumFest 2011. Cheers also to the following: The Deathdrop Crew for helping with accomodation and all other volunteers for their help throughout the weekend. DOOM for the pre ScumFest benefit that ensured all the bands had plenty to drink at the Fest, Carlos and Skinny for yet more amazing ScumFest artwork, Lauren for her time, patience and help with sound, Joe Siren for the lighting, the Cafe crew, Tina and Active Distribution for the BBQ, Active Rebellion for the badges, Stiv for being a drunk, Dom for sorting the projections, Mark for his Van (yet again), Chris, Mark and Rob (Agnosy) for lending their gear (yet again), the Teeny Tiny Tato company for yet another punk bingo extravaganza! Virginia Black for filming the weekend, Bison for recording the Sat night. Last but not least thanx to all the bands, whom without we would not have had much in the way of a festival! Special thanks also to Sam and Jen for making the trip down and being present for the ENT set and to Chris Mortimer for donating the photos for the slideshow of Phil, sorry we didn’t get to use them all on the night! As a collective we are pretty happy with how smoothly the fest went and we feel the weekend ran more or less hitch free. Apologies for the delay in letting you all know exactly how much £ has been secured for the benefits. This was namely due to the fact we were waiting to see if we got our bond on the Bussey building back . We are still yet to find out details on this so have decided to split the money raised as follows: £ 2,100 Split between the following: £700 To the funeral costs of the late Phil Vane (vocalist of ENT) £700 Te Whare Romata (the House of Tears, A cgrass roots organisation in Christchurch NZ recently devastated by earthquakes) £700 Nomada Assosiation (Polish anti hate crimes group) Any suggestions or feedback regarding the weekend is welcome, as are any photos or footage from the weekend.
