I'm from Turkey and pretty new here. I learned this site from a friend of mine,he is also in a band with me in Istanbul. I'm singing in a band named Frankenstein(I also play bass guitar in different genres), we haven't performed any concerts yet. We're still working on our songs,and we will show up in Istanbul soon. I must inform anybody here, my English is not so good. I'm working on it too. Too many different nations are living in Turkey. Kurds,Zazas,Armenians etc. and of course we have real "heavy" fascists here. Some of them are selling themselves as Nazis. And they've screwed up the metal scene in Turkey. Most of the metalheads are militarists,sexists and fascists here. There is too many stories to tell but really my English is not enough for that for now,I'm sorry. Şerefe! Cheers!
Welcome to the boards kazmacılar! Hopefully you'll find yourself at home here. Where I live (Chile) there are also plenty of metalheads who are sexists and homophobics but won't even admit they are, but I'd say they're mostly either apolitical or consevative, I have yet to meet fascist ones.
