    Propagandhi Biography

    Canadian punk band founded in Portage la Prairie (near Winnipeg), Manitoba, in 1989. One of the first bands to sign to [l=Fat Wreck Chords]. Singer / songwriter / bassist [a=John K. Samson] left the group in 1997 to pursue other interests and eventually start another band, [a283746]. Founding members [a=Chris Hannah] and [a=Jord Samolesky] continued to work on Propagandhi as well as starting their own label, [url=http://www.discogs.com/label/G7+Welcoming+Committee+Records]G7 Welcoming Committee[/url].

    G7 Welcoming Committee Records was a collectively-owned-and-operated record label located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Between 1997 and 2010, they released 59 musical and political artifacts in various formats by 31 bands and individuals.
    The label was started by a788647 and a1071881 in 1997. Jord quit the label in 2002. It is was then run by Chris, a1280243 and Brent Corey.
