    @ Jake

I'm not the one saying it. It's what THEY believe. It's their construct. They believe that 'God' is generally: male, and demands to be worshiped in some form. They believe he is the Master. Humanity has actually used that model to exacting success (government, slavery Patriarchy...) Religion is not science. I believe that something created the spark of humanity- but using natuaral evolutionary means. That something is not 'supernatural' or a supreme being as in God. That evolutionary construct has emperical evidence behind it. The idea of "creator" or "master", is a RELIGIOUS CONSTRUCT. You can't seperate the two. So telling me to "stop assuming that for someone to believe in a creator it must be one that you are aware of from what religions etc tell you " is a logical fallicy. TThrough religious contructs is the only way anyone is going to know about 'God'. What "he" actually is, isn't the point.

the Creation of it all is the water, the rest is ev0luti0n....

Religions and other stupid philosofy alike, were created, to control the people, n0wdayz, we have the faceb00k and other means of controllers, so we are all somehow attached to the stupidity of being junkies for something which is not the truth thing in all our lifes, the secret is the bees, the birds and all the other living things we pretend not to see daily, maybe one day people will start, once again thinking by themselfes, and love the living surrounding thing for a change.

    Uhm... The Ten Commandments?

'Commandment - an authoritative command or order;'

Yes. There are rules that god 'commanded of his followers. I believe that's a master.

I'm a little surprised that Intolerable/Ungovernable hasn't used their admin power/control and locked this thread...lol...not having a major dig at him but he locked a similar thread after brow-beating/dictating to people about what a "true Anarchist" was supposed to be...typical male behaviour.

I don't believe in a god as a creator of men, for that I credit evolution. I do believe it's possible (I'm not saying it is) that there 'more to life' than science can prove, but I don't care about it, if it is, so be it. I can't grasp the infinity of the universe either, or what happened before and during the big bang (nothing turns into everything), or why something is alive.

The Christian tends to assume a meta-physical view of the human mind, this quickly becomes an unstated premise in their argument. They presume that ideas are hard, solid and unchanging, that you can go find an idea and beat someone over the head with it just like you could with a rock. This is, of course, ridiculous. It's seems more probable to believe that ideas the products of circumstances, choices and adaption; they're in flux and always subject to revision. An important consequence to this premise is that Christian believe people aren't responsible for what they believe. There's some kind of metaphysical foundation which we must build our thought on in order for it to be legitimate. Notice how the Christian experiencs fear and panick when they violate a taboo, notice how nothing else of consequence results from the taboo being violated. This is just another stupid way that people try to get out of being responsible for their actions. If your "truth" tells you to go murder and harass innocent people, then the blame is on you for believing it, not on your "truth" for "existing". The consequence of violating your "truth" is absolutely nothing.

I think that the whole bible is a bunch of metaphors created by a church on how to live your life.

it's not only metaphors, some "don't eat..." rules had a reason in the time the "books" (bible and quorhan) were created, pigs and dogs for example were prone to catch parasites, "living unclean" and infecting people in contact with them, so without effective medical cures the "taboo"-rules were the only way to keep people healthy.
some stories about mythical ancestors and their way to live helped sometimes to evade greater social conflicts or personal desasters, donating to the poor or womens rights to inherit their husbands or fathers property - but the main part of the written "heavenly law" is just a try to give the "order" of the leading bosses the blessing and righteousness of "god" - promoting morals to keep their system running, justifying the hierarchy and the unity of believers as it's base, and it's funny how much the exclusive character of these writings changed with the time and the change of circumstances - just to appear as "unchanging" eternal truth in our time - so everybody can make whatever she or he wants out of it.

The bible and the god were created by the state to keep the people in poverty. There isn't any proof Jesus even exist, but god; god is a magical fairy.

That argument about science being like religion because we believe in the "higher powers" of gravity, thermodynamics, electromagnetism etc is ridiculous.

Science reaches conclusions and theories based upon physical evidence and updates them as more information becomes available.

Religion has already made its mind up because faith trumps everything else. Anything that doesn't fit their theory must be either wrong or a test of their faith.

So, no, they are not the same.

And an Agnostic is not someone who believes in a creator but doesn't understand its nature, that would be a Theist. Agnostics assert that it is impossible to ever know whether there is a deity or not, but you made the assertion that there is a deity by saying that you believe in one.
