Truth is though we are living in a tech savy age and you can get pretty much anything you want online. Music, movies, software programs, educational degrees... we've all got different opinions on the subject and I'm not a cop. I'm not in a position to comment on what happened before. I wasn't there. I'm just a person trying to help support bands in the scene. I'm assuming the people who put the music up online did so initially because they liked those bands and wanted to spread the word. That's what I want to do as well. That's why I'm helping out at PE. And while I understand there are people who will not "pay" for said art there are still punks who collect vinyl. I am one of those punks. I like listening to records. I like looking at the cover. I like reading the liner notes. I like collecting different color wax. Listening to music digitally is often free, easy and convenient. I know, I listen digitally a lot but I still prefer using my crackly old school phonograph when given the chance. And I know there are other people out there who share my passion. Bands still want to make records. PE still wants to help bands make those records. Not because we think we can get rich off of it but because we believe in the bands and think their records are worth putting out.

Were you petting Bambi and helping an old lady cross the road when you thought that up? Shit, I love vinyl and I love PE, but I love people selling discs a whole lot more when they're honest! Come on, you wanna sell us shit and we wanna buy it! Don't be embarrassed, it's not like you're exploiting oil wells or tearing down national parks.
