The Pentagon has heeded the SPLC's recommendation to revise its policy prohibiting active-duty personnel from participating in hate groups. As the SPLC pointed out for years, the previous policy allowed soldiers to engage in a range of supremacist activities. The revised regulations will finally allow the military to root out racial extremists like airman and neo-Nazi Robert Lee West (pictured below).

this is for those of you who think that neo-nazi's are not a threat to anyone in the U.S., they are in your Police Dept's, they are in your Military, they are in your back yard....you can choose to ignore it and call me paranoid or a fascist but supremacists are akin to cockroaches, when you see one or discover one, that means there are hundreds hidden nearby. Also for those of you who defend the Military, is this the people you defend? IT'S 2010 AND THEY ARE JUST NOW GETTING AROUND TO REALIZING THAT NEO-NAZI'S SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO BE SOLDIERS? Fuckin' hilarious.................. :lmao:

yeah good decision, but the neo nazis are just going to join one of the numerous far-right paramilitary militias which is pretty much the same thing as an army

not only they souldnt be allowed to join the army, but they also shouldnt be allowed to own a gun!!

**now expecting NGNM85 and the other nazi huggers of this forum to argue during 15 pages and tell me i am a fascist authoritarian for breaking the nazis freedom and freedom of speech**

There's little evidence this is an epidemic, but it is disturbing. I've seen it happen, firsthand. I overheard a conversation between a neo-nazi skin who went to my high school and his recruiter. The recruiter told him just not to mention his hate group membership or his drug use, and didn't blink an eye when he used racial epithets and joked about shooting "ragheads." Not all military personnel are bad people, but most of the recruiters I've met are total scumbags.

And now you are ptetending again that this isn't a threat... you are an ignorant.

Even if those peoples aren't as numerous as the US Army, they are fanatics and ready to take action, and only a dozen of them can do big damage. History proven it with Timothy McVeigh. Only a couple of extremist fanatics can be very dangerous because they are ready to act.

Oh i see, i understand now why you are so ignorant about anarchism, you are just a teenager going to school... How old are you exactly ? This explains a lot.

Someday you will learn (hopefully). We were all ignorant once and we thought that neo nazis were not a threat and that you could fight them with words. Once you grow up and once you start having REAL experience on the terrain, maybe you will understand.

This is why I'm having my mom file those "Leave my kid alone" papers before I go to high school. There pretty interesting if you haven't looked into them. Military recruitment facilities are subject to some of the most magnificent property destruction I have ever seen here in Colorado. With good reason.

There's little evidence? I really don't think your that stupid NGNM, I just think your full of yourself and refuse to open your eyes, I just presented you ample evidence that its bad enough for the state to finally recognize its been coddling these motherfuckers for centuries now and if you need further evidence of how bad its becoming in your beloved 'civilized western society' look no further than the state of Arizona. I'm telling you right now that having a black man as president has galvanized these scumbags like nothing else in this fucked up country ever has, fool yourself all you like but please don't try to fool others on here that might look to you for opinion :/

I agree it's bad, I've been aware of this for years, since I saw a piece on Democracy Now!. However, I was merely pointing out thaTt these people collectively make up less than 1 percent of the armed forces. Of course the military should do something about it. Actually, according to the rules their supposed to. I suspect with being overstretched in the middle east they're being less discriminating to get more warm bodies.

Actually, I'm 25. However I did once go to high school at which I had the aforementioned conversation.

Given the abundance of evidence to the contrary, I don't see you're qualified to be making that determination.

even if you are right in that they are less then 1 percent, timothy mcveigh is ample evidence that one person can fuck a lot of people up by themselves. One racist militant in a position of power is too many.

Actually, that's based on what the SPLC has published. I first heard about this in the context of a report they published that they found 40 military personnel on neo-nazi social networking site "New Saxon", a couple citations I think one was from the Dept. of Justice which was 300, another estimate of 200. Out of at least one and a half million active duty personnel that is dramatically less than one percent. That's all I was saying, trying to put things in some sort of perspective. Now I would strongly push for the military to follow their own rules and identify and remove these people (As well as not enlisting new recruits they know to be affiliated with hate groups.) That's a worthy endeavor and I'd fully support it. While they're at it they could also end the war in the middle east, and a number of other things, but that's beside the point.

Ok, so we should wait until they are 50% of the army before acting?

I will repeat myself again : only a dozens of them can be extremely dangerous. You don't need 100 nazis to do harm, only 5-6 of them can take action and make a lot of damage.

    They are fanatics.

Your mentality is as stupid as saying that al-quaida and the other terrorists aren't a threat because they are a minority and they are not a lot of peoples.

But i remind you that 9/11 was caused by only a dozen of fanatics. You don't need an army to do a lot of damage, just a few fanatics ready to take action.

Anyway don't forget, you are supposed to be careless about neo-nazis extremists because they have the freedom of speech.

Oh yeah, because all the neo nazis go around telling to everyone they are nazi fanatics so they can be counted in the official statistics...

Definatly, you don't know what you are talking about.

That's against the freedom of speech for nazis that you are fighting for.

You are definatly a contradictory hypocrite.

You say the fascists should have equal rights with us but look what you are saying now...

You are so contradictory, that's hilarious.

That's probably a less credible eventuality than invasion by hostile extraterrestrials.

That's not what I said. I said that something should be done about it, in fact, something should have been done a long time ago. However, these few individuals are in no way representative of the armed forces. I suspect this distinction is too subtle for you.

As a rule those people aren't very smart and generally don't cover their tracks especially well. The exact number cannot be known, but there's no evidence to suggest (And plenty to the contrary.) that it is greater than 1%.

Well, I defer to the expert in that department.

This has absolutely nothing to do with freedom of speech, just as the restrictions on who may post on this website have nothing to do with freedom of speech. If you understood the phrase or it's implications you wouldn't make these ridiculous statements. It also does not constitute a violation of human rights. You only advertise your ignorance.

I had an image in my head of the recruit process.

Recruiter: Okay I am going to ask you a few questions and if you pass, you are allowed in.

    Potential Soldier: Okay

    Recruiter: Are you a Neo-Nazi

    Potential Soldier: Fuck yeah!

    Recruiter: Get the hell out.

Failed Soldier: DAMMIT! Always get that one wrong.

In the Warsaw ghetto's rumors spread rapidly amongst the beseiged Jewish peoples about what was happening to their relatives in Austria and Germany, ugly rumors beyond comprehension, they looked to their elders for answers....could these things we're hearing of possibly be true? The Rabbi's soothed their flocks with assurances to the contrary....ugly lies spread by the uneducated and unfaithful among us. By the time they realised the truth it was much to late to organize a proper resistance... although a handfull of very heroic Jews did resist to the death none the less. It seems that now we are lulled into the same complacency, "there is no way that could ever happen again in this modern world". You think you are insulated from the type of madness that happens in Darfur and Rwanda because you live in your comfy first world countries? Anybody here ever hear of a man named Sagon Penn? He assaulted two police officers here in San Diego in Balboa Park about 25 years ago give or take, he felt threatened by them as he was a black man and they were two white officers who were harrassing him, they tried to detain him but he managed to beat one then wressled the gun away from the other one and murdered him with his own service revolver. The community naturally bayed like wolves for this man's blood. At his trial it was revealed by witnesses that the officers had been hurling racial slurs at Sagon while he was just walking and minding his own buisness, then photographs of the slain officers naked torso were leaked into the media and thats when the shit really hit the fan, the dead officers body was tattooed in many places with swastikas and other supremacist symbols. Sagon was cleared of most of the charges as he was found to have acted in self defense, The San Diego Police Dept. had to back peddle like mad to appease the outrage felt by all minorities in this city and after a 'thourough investigation' fired or suspended something like 20 officers who were found to be in a secret supremacist organization within the Dept. My point you ask? That was 25 years ago !!!! :ecouteurs: Do you seriously expect me to believe that things are much better now?....Its later than you think.

    :ecouteurs:

    Please. Be serious.

If you're asking if I think a national campaign of institutionalized ethnic cleansing will take place in the US or western Europe is a likely possibility in the forseeable future? No. I don't see any reason to believe that.

Another tragic incident. However, again, there is no reason to believe that a neo-fascist coup is in any way immenant.

I am being serious and you are trying to be condescending in your usual douchebaggy manner, which really cracks me up now that I know how old you are. You can go on and be condescending to these nuts sir. I was trying really hard to be civil with you although we disagree on about 85% of topics in this forum, but you make it virtually impossible as I remember telling you in the past. I could really give a fuck if you are with me or against me on these issues nor am I trying to convince you of anything as apparantly you know more about every single subject on the planet than all of us put together... :lmao:

EDIT: Oh and I almost forgot, there is absolutely nothing tragic about a Nazi Cop getting smoked and the killer walking free
