    Hello all who fly red and black, i found this site from torrenting old oi, punk, hardcore, and anarcho albums and found this community within the site, im truly moved. I consider myself new to the Anarchist ideology, although from a young age i strongly believed in anti-elitism and equality. So inform and educate me of the many anarchist views(besides the obvious) because critical thinking 101: openminded is not empty-headed

    Welcome to APN :)

    Be careful what you ask for, some people here will educate the hell out of you ;) I, for one, can't read much of the old anarchist writers (aside from Goldman) in one sitting without dozing off. Something about that outdated english just doesn't appeal to me. Needs more zombies and/or explosions.

    Im not looking for anything in particular, but preferabley something applicable to my life and nothing too terribly hard to read like what JackNegativity was saying. though thats not a huge problem, my comprehension level isnt too terrible. so if its in english and it has a strong message of anti imperialism and anti elitism, then throw that liberating read my way :beer:

    Yeah, you do that. Go work on your iPhone 4/Droid/Blackberry while I wrestle some bears and tear their hides off with my bare hands while wearing loincloth and feed my children raw bear meat. While you, on the other hand, will hunt your food from a supermarket. You are too bundled up with your machines and wiring to actually believe that it is harmful not just for you, but for everyone else. Technology is oppression, Communi...Shit, brb, just got a message on my Blackberry.

    Anyway, on a more serious note, AntiAntiEverything you should read some books that give more insight into Anarchism. Try: http://dwardmac.pitzer.edu/anarchist_archives/

    Try Anarcho-Communism in particular Kropotkin's Conquest of the Bread.

    Android phone, you know, all the rave you technology-loving media sheep secretly want.

    That is life, that is life without oppression. The true way. Ugg Ugg.

    If I fly a bisected flag then I fly the black and gold. From my experience this is not an ideological circle jerk/rub but a great forum to discuss ideas and philosophies. Welcome!

    @Random Person From There
    Android is an open source operating system. If you want to modify it then you can. You can even stick your version on your phone if you didn't fuck up the OS's communications with the radio stack. Even if you brick your phone's connection to the network you can experiment as you please with the phone's OS. I run the applications that I wrote on my android phone. Google even came out with a package that allows non programmers to develop applications for the android without learning Java. Android is helping to bring back technology to the common person.

    You can hang out with John Zerzan and his uncomfortably short yellow shorts in anarcho-primitivist land ; ) I think that technology that enables people to create is good in my book.
