I think I've made my point of view and its motivation clear here or elsewhere and it is quite simply... in-grained from martial arts + being picked on from a very early age 'till about age 18.
I somehow still managed to retain my hope for mankind's 'salvation' (if you will) and do not see violence as the best route to success.
I will fight... if I have to, but I'd prefer not to.
I don't disagree with Fetusgrinder that the state is part of a lot of violence and it's ultimate outcome (death, pain and suffering), I simply do not wish to contribute to more pain, death and suffering to 'correct' it, unless there is no other option.
There is a switch in my head however that if you fuck with my friends, you will get fucked up... by me. Said switch is more sensitive to some people being fucked with than others, though.

    Re: NO GOVERNEMNT... Then What?

i'd prefer not to fight either but i think its utopian to think that we can achieve our goals without it. for all the reasons giving before. and contributing to death and suffering etc is never a good thing but letting the state go unchallenged in there racist, oppressive ways of going about is even worse. but i guess when all is said and done most of us can agree that some form and measure of violence is going to have to be done.
but i would like to hear more on what people picture the society after the state like.

think of humans being awesome due to being convinced that the good parts outweigh the bad rather than doucehebags who are brainwashed to act like ..... to only serve a singular purpose, ya know like when people argue we want them to go back to the monkeys, they're like monkeys in a cage at mo, 'here have a banana,' why r u 'all' acting crazy!?'

its like people think ya gonna tell them how to be, how to live how to, why your the engineer and yes it'l be organised much as society generally is

    Re: NO GOVERNEMNT... Then What?

I might get a lot of shit thrown at me for saying this but the main problem with anarchy is the same as communism. Both ideals need people to be respectful towards each other to sucseed and that won't ever happen, in my opinion. As a whole, humans are creatures of destruction and violence.

Without government, scum elements will run wild.... so what DO we do? Maybe not destroy... perhaps start over and find a system that works? Is there a system that would work? Humans are spread into too many catagories to have one set of rules make everybody happy... so, after thinking about this for years... I conclude that the world and everything in it... is fucked.

My only hope, is showing the world that religeon is bullshit. There is no man in the sky and when we die, we are gone for good. If people accepted this, maybe they wouldn't be so willing to kill and destroy each other? Of course, I'm only fooling myself.

    Re: NO GOVERNEMNT... Then What?

Other then what I've already stated here my envisionment of anarchism is as follows: I'd like to see small communes spread all across the globe living in respect to the areas they inhabit. I'd like to see relics of a society long gone left as monuments to what has failed humanity as a whole. I'd like to see renewable enegies being brought to there full potential and people who perpetuate lifestyles of caring and empathy rather then distrust and greed. Another problem the world faces that is sorely overlooked is the imminent absence of scientists and engineers. Scientists and engineers who entered the field in the late 1900s and have blazed a trail of both progress and errors are now retiring at a rapid rate and those entering the field are nowhere near large enough in numbers to replace them. So by using new technology and the release of some of our luxuries to create a world without menial labour, people interested in science would have the time to pursue their interest with an unparalleled ferocity and those interested in the arts and other fields would be able to do the same, making each commune it's own cultural paradise for the rest of the world to see. By eliminating wage labour I also believe that education would prosper like never before. I have a passion to educate people even though I'm young in age and if I could start teaching tommorow (prefferably visual art or humanities), I would and I know that if people who shared this passion with me could live in a society where money is not an object and educators are simply educators for educations sake, that education would be unhindered (I'm just gonna throw that word in here one more time-EDUCATION). With education and personal pursuits unhindered- the future looks pretty bright. Amongst other things I'd like to see the ablotion of large scale warfare, poverty, taxation, land ownership, use of nonrenewable energy, deforestation, and capitalism in all it's forms.

    Re: NO GOVERNEMNT... Then What?

milwall, its called apathy and your post count don't budge hmmm

guess ya get that with class born outta religion etc etc

it won't be perfect, nada is but it'll be a millenium ahead of what we have now and progress won't be a dirty word

anarchy shouldn't say, 'you don't have to eat meat' this and that but it doesn't ignore factory farming or the destruction of forest that help us breath, to make profit for 'some' and cities by their nature aren't sustainable/no hippy, we are forced to live a certain way as they control! the main protaganists are those in bed with the 3 sisters, state, capital and dog usually run by the same people, we built the st's and we shoud have em back, it also believes in reality i've sed this before, don't be an idiot cause others may be, animals act out, go look up where the police started and look at what they became, we are the law and humans when treated well will more often than not, be cool, its been proven, when they were trying to prove we were scumbuckets during the 'cold war', naa serial kilers are capiche and if we'd done nada you'd still be working 48 hours a day, it is merely unstateist, organised and believes in the free endeavours of humans, it isn't utopiest but it dreams like all beings

if anyone tells u it is, they're wrong and probabaly an activist whos so focussed/biased they can't see the wood for the trees, thats why i see it as symbiotic as you don't just have bakers eh, that'd b fucking silly and unskill sharing, not helpful to anybody, anarchos work in hospitals, schools, everywhere, they aren't boogeypeople

    Re: NO GOVERNEMNT... Then What?

I love your ideas about education, i truely believe it is the only answer to ending the idiotic violence that has a tendency to consume the human race, however I am curious as to your ideas on the ability to erradicate weapons...The mass population - though this may sound callous- is unlikely to immediately accept nor agree with every message being taught, even a group like us can not agree on everything. And in the establishment of a new order, in disarming the masses, some people are likely to resist, and with weapons, take over and that leaves us at square one. Neither can i propose that the certain educated people are capable of leading the hoi polloi in the correct direction, while maintaining weapons, soley till all oposition is quashed, for people are far too suseptible to corrutpion, and part of me believes opposition is essential to the continuation of the evolution of thought. My ideas fall more along the lines of ( I thingk its the switzerland method) allowing any who wish to be armed in any way possible, and eventually the idiots who refuse education/enlightenment will erradicate themselves through Darwinism.

    Re: NO GOVERNEMNT... Then What?

No Military, but we should train ourselves into private militias for defence against oppressors.

    No Land Ownership.

    No Taxes.

Really thats the best you can come up with?

Militias? really? Why? To stop opression from the other militias? Makes no sense man.

What is need is the understanding of the right and freedom to choose. Kropotkin says it best!

"Either the State for ever, crushing individual and local life, taking over in all fields of human activity, bringing with it its wars and its domestic struggles for power, its palace revolutions which only replace one tyrant by another, and inevitably at the end of this development there is ... death! Or the destruction of States, and new life starting again in thousands of centers on the principle of the lively initiative of the individual and groups and that of free agreement. The choice lies with you!"

And i still cant beleive you would want militias, how unproductive that would be!

well think a little. he said " but we should train ourselves into private militias" that mean that everyone should be their own bodyguard. why militias? becouse of the capitalists, fascist and other rabbles in anarchy. you think there would be no one who is against anarchy? of course there would be. dont be a foul. today everyone needs a protection from everyone. tommorow ( when anarchy comes) everyone should have protection from mad-mans and rabbles and if there is no police and millitary who will protect you?

    Re: NO GOVERNEMNT... Then What?

I'm going with v on this. We're not talking about something like the army or marines, we're saying to teach people how to defend themselves from those who will either take advantage of or want to break down the community. Like Bakica said, not everyone will want or be fully ready for an anarchy, and fascist, capitalist, religious fanatics, and others will come in and try to get to those people. Aside from that, some people may not want a anarchy and try to over throw it in a violent manner. You just have to be prepared, its not going to be a peaceful utopia right away. This is to protect you, your family, friends etc.
As far as what i want to see
    Green technology
    More Public transportation and bikes
    More farms
    No more factories producing food
    Free Health Care
Legal Abortions (i know they are now, but still throwing it out there)
People living in harmony with the land and destroying it
People putting time and energy in to helping their fellow human beings and not in to making money
No more capitalism, fascism, racism, etc
Legal marriages (unions, whatever it would be) for everyone gay or straight
No more animal testing, and more vegan options in all areas (food, cosmetics, clothing etc)
    Education be assessable to everyone
And I'm sure that there are more that i"ll think of later

    Re: NO GOVERNEMNT... Then What?

As far as militias go, I'm of the opinion that if everyone is raised together communally, we all get the basic concepts of "society" with each other. If we see everyone as our brother, how could you exploit or harm your brother?

I think that at first, a very limited militia might be needed, but just because people of the pre-anarchist generation will want to screw things up.

Hope that people are educated enough to know that they have to organize in order to oppose all forms of oppression.

If they don't, gangs will probably become the new government.

I also have a question, what about the coming technological singularity?

Feels like if technology gets too advanced, we wont be able to do anything anymore.

it seems to me that collective farming communities small ones should do it several thousand people tops and no luxuries such as electricity health care ext. will not have to be taken off the table (unless the community wants them to before anyone says why, tea party.) we already have the people with the job skills to do so doctors engineers and the lot. direct democracy in the form of town hall meetings (it would be nice to see the building go to practical use) no bosses no leaders no currency. no one, at least I'm not saying this is not going to be hard because it is. if successful it will be quite possibly be the hardest social undertaking in human history but undoubtedly the most worthwhile.

"what's to stop someone from deciding it is their destiny or right to be a dictator? "

The only way someone can control you is if you let them. If you listen to the little voice in your head that says OBEY. If you ignore that voice then the only thing they can do is kill you. You cant control corpses.
