    Potatoes, for sure.
I suppose some kind of oil to deep fry 'em in. Grapeseed, I'd say.
    Curry powder (Yellow)
    Chickpeas
    Broccoli
And flour, so I can make my own pasta, and stuff.

I'm a relatively new vegetarian (almost a year) and I'm working towards veganism.

    Garlic
    Lentils
    Onions
    Mushrooms
    Tomatoes
    Broccoli

That was a hard list. I had to change it like 5 times.

Um... I like everything, but if it had to go with survival or scarcity then...

    Meat (any kind)
    Beans
    Potatoes
    Sea Urchins
    Clams
    Radishes

I like diving so I can go with seafood-only too.

I am an unashamed meat eater... i was being tongue in cheek with what i posted, but still, I would love to hunt and live off the land with out having to rely on a really horrible industry for food. That may keep me ostracized if ever an anarcho society is formed.

Alrighty, I already posted on this but it was jokingly and when i was nothing more then a meager vegetarian, so here is my REAL list.
Beans- is there a sort of universal bean? I;m not sure what one it would be if there is one.
    Brown Rice
Nutritional Yeast- My mom sprinkles this on everything I eat, EVERYTHING, and it can make a killer "gravy"
Flour types of things to make breadstuff
Soy Milk- I have about 3 glasses of this stuff a day
Chickpeas- if you grind them up the possibilities are infinite.

I've already decided that I will keep my kitchen stocked with all of these at all times, in case of nuclear war, zombie attack, alien invasion, you know, whatever comes up:

    Chickpeas
    Black beans
    Soy beans
    Lentils
    Mushrooms
    Bell pepper

Just with those six, I could make all kinds of nice dishes, and if I was allowed to steal sesame seeds from the neighbors or something, I could make some mean hummus :D
