When we get offended by the words of another we're the ones making the decision to be offended, and that's OUR problem, not there's. If we always keep this in mind when conversing with our fellow humans, we will save ourselves a lot of grief, and a lot of energy that would normally be wasted expressing needless dismay over another persons word choice. That being said, I don't approve of sexist bigotry in any way, but I also don't tax myself by throwing hissy fits when I bare witness to it. It's a lot more fun to twist it into a joke on the offenders behalf because laughter, to me, is one of the many peaks of the human experience. BTW I'm a total slut.
