How are people called who follow Emma Goldmans Ideology?

    Maybe use the term 'libertarian socialist' if you're worried about people's prejudices or dismissive attitudes.

    I am imagining it's different in the US. In the UK people don't necessarily associate being a Marxist/Communist with being pro-USSR (even Leninists and Trotskyites don't really cause serious eyebrow-raising) and Anarchists are not automatically dismissed either. I once got talking to a bunch of (I'd guess Trotskyite) Unionists on a train and we had quite a nice chat about what a bunch of bastards the UK government was and music as political expression. We just avoided taboo subjects ('why don't you join the SWP' vs. 'Why do you base your politics on a party that drains its members resources and will never get elected and, I hope to fuck, will never lead the revolution.'). If your speaking to politically minded people then civil conversations should be possible anywhere. I get a lot more shit for being a vegan than an anarchist.
