Hi and welcome! Yeah, I haven't played that many horror games and not lately but I enjoyed Dead Space (the first one! The second one wasn't that scary). What's your favourite one?

I've played a couple of Resident Evil games (1 and 5 I think).

Yeah, you'll shit yourself, lol! Another game that had me constantly on edge was Doom 3, especially in the earlier levels. But Dead Space (the first one) is definitely creepy as fuck from start to finish! :D

I haven't played many horror video games.

I bought one of the Resident Evil games for Nintendo 64 when I was an older teen. I forget which one it was. As soon as I have control I'm being attacked by a group of zombies & the camera angle majorly sux so I always died before I could figure the game controls out. I would have given the game away if I knew anyone who had a 64 who was interested. I kind of doubt it'll be worth the hassle of trying to sell it on Ebay. I'm hesitent to try other Resident Evil games. Perhaps the Xbox games would be better but I def do not want to buy any without being able to play the game first for a bit.

A few months ago I played American McGee's Alice on Xbox One. It's an RPG psychological horror spoof of Alice In Wonderland. When she was little Alice's home had caught on fire & her family died in th process. Due to survivors quilt along with the trauma of being severely burned, Alice spent a few years in a mental facility & was in a catatonic like state lots of the time. Wonderland is her mind trying to help itself. The Mad Hatter is performing evil experiments on various creatures. I got it for free with gamepass at some point. It included the sequel but I haven't got around to playing that yet & probably won't for a while since I'm caught up in playing other games lately.

I think they fixed those awkward camera angles in some of the later games but I gotta say I didn't enjoy Resident Evil that much (the 2 that I played at least). Too many puzzles in the first one and the other one had a horrible frustrating part where you're driving a car while being chased by this cloud of bats, and I always got killed. The margin of error is so small that eventually I just gave up and never touched the game again. And anyway, I don't particularly like games that have save points and time limits and shit.
