The best way to destroy religion is to educate people, and to get them to queston their preconceptions. Religion can't stand up to a second of intellectual scrutiny.

If you don't mind, what kind of god do you believe in? The christian god? Or, is it something more impersonal like a 'prime mover', and why?

but pushing to end religion, or "shove it down peoples throats" thats its evil is just as bad as people who try to shove Christianity down my throat saying that its good. Except it hurts a lot more.

 

Remember too, that the problem isn't all religions, the main problem is One God religions, as they by nature are tools of social control, which is why governments use them and spread them like the plague. Also not all believers in God are bad, for instance their are anarcho-christians, who follow to words and actions of Christ not the words and actions of the churches.

I agree to destroy God, education is the best way, I mean look at me I was going to go to school to be a preacher, but then I started learning a bit about history, and other religions, and began to realize that Christianity is really a baby religion, it is really new compared to other religion, which according to the church means everone went to hell for millions of years until someone invented Christianity... it's rediculous. I like the idea of the pagan gods, who simply personify forces of nature, it doesn't matter if you believe in them or if they actually exist, they are just used to focus and channel the energy of nature.

I personally believe in the earth, and that the earth and the Sun have energy that creates life and all things, and if you wish to call that spiritual energy or whatever so be it.

So I agree that if you want to kill God then educate yourself. (and a violent revolution just creates another violent system)

If disecting religions really good they all are based on the same thing: that we should all be nice to eachother. Same thing goes for most isms. The problem is the people who are not seing that and think that those who uses other words for the same thing should be hated. to you all!

 

Yeah, christianity has allways been a way for the state to controll people. Need not say more then prosecution of witches... And all christian celebrations are coverups for good old pagan sabaths. I personally see a logic in burning churches (not that i'm for it) since most churches was built on the ruins from smashed pagan holy places. But i can't hate the people who belive in christianity, only hope they'd come to their senses
