    My name is Dustin

I am 25 years old. I am situated in the San Francisco bay area. Born in SF but have train-hopped and squatted all over the US. I have also made it to Mexico, England, Italy, Holland, France and Switzerland in my young life. I like travel. I grew up around train hopping punks. I was raised on hardcore and SF bands like Sick Pleasure and Bad Posture but found the likes of Crass, Conflict, Doom and Amebix and never looked back. Crust in my comfort zone these days. My anarcho-tendencies are based on instinct. I read Emma Goldman's essays around age 13 and just seemed to agree. I've called myself an anarchist ever since. Thanks for being here! :anarchism: // :peace:

I was 14-15 years old (I turned 15 in Amsterdam). So that was 2001! Yes i did enjoy my time there. I visited to a few farms, spent time in Amsterdam, and also visited a very small concentration camp from WWII, which was a powerful and terrifying experience to say the least.

    thank you :anarchism: // :peace:

Hello!! I admire your travels, I want to get out of Canada so badly but I'm tied down with school and such and I'm just digging a miserable life for myself. In any case, if you ever find yourself in South Ontario you're more than welcome on my couch. Nice to meet you and I look forward to hearing what you have to say. ;3 < 3

Shit, man...I wish I could travel more. I've never left the states, so even Canada sounds like an exotic destination to me.

Education is a good thing, although i am sorry to hear that it isn't turning out to be what you want it to be. I appretiate the invite. I have, as of the last two years, been staying in one place (well one area that is) and am considering a collage path. I just visited my special lady friend at her collage in Berkeley, CA (her first year). She is a Gender Womens Study major (but not a punk) and lives in a Co-op.

I am, first of all, very impressed and proud of her choice of major. I noted how many :anarchism: minded students there were around us, deep in intelligent and mindful political and social discussions the whole weekend (their days off school!). I had discussions with a few young students who are anarchists and was pleased to find that they, too, were once poor travelers, but had found the resources to attend a university. I was also pleased to discover this quote, upon leaving, spray-painted next to her room:
"You romanticize your heroes, quote from Marx and Mao
Well their ideas of freedom are just oppression now" -Crass
I never thought a university was a place for kids like us. But after that visit I could see myself there in a few years (assuming i could get my hands on a hefty 2 year grant) studying, and awake with idea!

Anyway, my ramblings aside, good luck to you. If you ever find yourself in the San Franciso Bay I could happily find you a safe place to stay in a second. Cheers!

Well, there is plenty of beauty within our borders, but remember that Canada and mexico Border us, both have killer punk scenes and plenty of black flag flying comrades. I know for sure mexico city has a very welcoming collective. I helped a friend organize a benefit film screening for their info shop at the AK press warehouse about two weeks ago. You should move those feet if they're itchy!
