    Hey, I'm Indra. Been part of Indonesia's punk and underground scene since the mid-'90s. My playlist's a mix of punk, ska punk, death metal, hardcore, crust, grindcore—you name it. Always digging both local and international underground sounds. Right now, I'm based in a small town in NSW, Australia, for work. Still keeping the DIY spirit alive, even from here. Thanks for having me in this forum!

    From what I've seen on youtube Indonesia seems to have quite a healthy punk scene, and some really good bands.

    Thanks. Yes, we have a diversity of punk communities across the archipelago. There have been ebbs and flows in the scene, but it continues to thrive!

    Lots and lots of interesting tapes (new bands and re-releases of classics) have emerged from Indonesia during these last couple of years! Malaysia as well. I wish it was cheaper to post from Indonesia to the EU because I would've bought sooo many tapes (which is my favorite format). :D

    Agree. Shipping from Indonesia is damn so expensive. Let alone to Sweden, to Australia is ridiculously expensive.

    You might just want to travel there, meet up with local punks, come to DIY shows, and get the records yourself and bring ‘em with you back to Sweden! I know some German punks did it last year.

    Perhaps in the future, it's a possibillity! Some of my closest friends (Crutches) did a small tour in Indonesia a few years ago, but I couldn't come along that time. I think it was the same time as their split with Kontrasosial.
