    hello everybody,
    thought i'd may as well introduce myself, i'm shane from belfast northern ireland, long time punk, father to one, yadda yadda yadda
    i work with the warzone centre in belfast which some people may have heard of (or most likely not as the case might be!) - its a long time running collective of anarchists, punks, and general misfits who want to create an alternative to the religious and sectarian country we had the misfortune of being born into. we run a vegan cafe, gigs and numerous workshops aimed at helping people help themselves (and drink alot of beer and cider and talk alot of shite in the process). anybody interested in a gig in belfast or helping out is more than welcome to contact me and i'll do my best to steer you in the right direction!

    personnally speaking, while a huge fan of anarcho punk / crust / etc, my favourite bands are Hawkwind and Gong...whether this makes me a hippy wanker or not, i'll let you be the judge!

    not a hippy, just a punk with good taste in music outside of punk rock. :D (hawkwind is psychedelic as fuck)

    Thanks for the messages folks - just thought I'd better get in there first with my love of Hawkwind etc...some punks seem to have a problem with stuff like that for some reason!

    And I appreciate the response in Irish, but sadly I havn't learnt it since I was 11, so am almost illterate in it now - which is something I keep intending to correct!
