    I'm sure everyone here has read this at one time or another in thier life, but i think it is something important to remember and think about from time to time

    "First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a communist;
    Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist;
    Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew;
    Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak out for me."

    I remember a dutch version with quite a bit more. Couldn't figure out who wrote it though. Good to know.

    there's a chumba wamba song that uses the poem also, i think it' s "Smash Clause 28".
