Hey I am looking to make a mix tape of some female fronted anarcho and crust bands. Any suggestions aside from the big bands that everyone knows like Poison Girls, Spit Boy, Lost Cherrees, Potential Threat etc

    There are quite a few...

A-Heads, The Dead, Decadent Few, Internal Autonomy, Honey Bane, Excrement of War, (early) Decadence Within, One by One, Hagar the Womb, Corpus Vile, FUAL, Joyce McKinney Experience, Civilised Society?, Alternative, Disaffect, Androids of Mu, Dominant Patri, Fifth Column, Sacrilege, Life Cycle, Toxic Waste, Solvent Abuse, Faction, Dan, Karma Sutra, Chumba, After the Massacre, Beginning of the End and dozens of others all from the UK.

Media Children, A State of Mind, OK?, Surrender, Antiproduct, Mankind?, Man the Conveyor, Insurgence, Thulsa Doom, APPLE, Atrocity, Attake and many others from the U$.

Post-Regiment, El Banda, Homomilitia, Scantus Iuda, Utopia, Stracony, Silna Wola, Insuiciety from Poland.

Contropotere, Sonny Corleone,Infezione and Contrazione from Italy.

Elektroduendes, Ultimo Resorte, Estigia, Violent Headache (on some recordings) from Spain.

Verdun, Heyoka, Psychosquatt, La Fraction, Pariapunk from France.

Bluttat, Lost World, Dekadent, Day by Day from Germany.

Last Legion Alive, (early) Bad Influence, Detritus, Unhinged from Belgium.

    Apatia-No, Anarcolepsia from Venezuela.

    Tozibabe from Slovenia.

    Utgard Trolls, Mercenarias from Brazil.

    Detox from Lebanon.

    Spinners from Turkey.

    SS-20, Desobediencia Civil from Mexico.

    Cojoba from Puerto Rico.

Axion//Protesta, Sistemas de Aniquilacion from Argentina.

Polikarpas y sus viciosas, Fertil Miseria, Insurgentas, La Vendetta from Colombia.

I will stop here or I might as well spend the night doing this...

There are compilations untitled "A reference of female fronted punk" that can be found on the web. There are 13 volumes which include bands from all over the world who recorded between 1977 and 1989. It would also be a good starting point.

Anybody said Blatz yet? Also, there's Socialized Crucifixion and Hell Woman (the latter in particular are real good, sort of sound like a garage hardcore version of Penis Envy by Crass).

Pink Turds in Space from Ulster, Namenlos from Germany, Conflict OK! from Estonia (fabulous band, somewhere between Post-Regiment and Bluttat) and Disperazione from Italy are also very good picks. In terms of current bands, Moral Hex from wherever post-punk is fashionable in the US are actually very good.

There was an 80's band from Australia with a female singer... Was it GASH?

It was indeed Gash. The Melbourne band Thrush and the Cunts, despite only releasing one single, are also worth tracking down.

Pettybone released their first album late last year. All female crust-y madness. One of the band are from 'veganarchists' Hello Bastards. Well worth a check out.

Compos Mentis from New Zealand, Gomess from Japan, Subsistencia from LA (I think) and the mighty Aurora Cyrkalo from Hungary.

    I have a slow memory...
