I am looking for bands with a similar lyrical style to dystopia's.
    Generally anti-human.

nothing is even comparable to dystopia.

elements of opression by antischism is the closest you will get.

I disagree, plenty of bands have anti-human lyrics for example: Misanthropic, Toxic Narcotic, The Nihilistics, Carol Ann, Carcinogen, and about every other single Doom Metal band out there

    GRIEF

Plus the frontman/guitarist was Jeff from Disrupt (and they've had some other past Disrupt members as well) who is now in this apparently atmospheric Crust/Sludge band Morne who I really need to check out ASAP...

are you talking about the lyrical content or the delivery of the lyrics?
black and sludge metal are definitely your best bets for the anti human lyrics.
    and up the Grief also.

Yes, i guess i was looking for an atmospheric sound to it as well. I have grief and severed head of state.
Im checking out some of the other ones right now.

dwtcos - could you list some sludge/black metal bands of this particular style for me?

Sea Of Deprivation are VERY similar in every way to Dystopia

Deathspell Omega is probably the most misanthropic band I've ever heard. They have a whole intense philosophy based on people sucking and being essentially evil.

there's a skaven/dystopia split that's pretty good, my absolute favorite is dystopia and i have tried to find bands close to em but i can't ever really get that fix unless i actually listen to them

Medication Time has members of Skaven and Dystopia. They're fuckin' rad. Alot closer to Dystopia's sound than Skaven's.

Misanthropic is in the same vein as Sea of Deprivation and has some of the same members.

blessed are the worms....for they shall inherit the earth

the only other split that rivals it is blatz/filth.

hehe yeah i love blatz's covers...even better i love how filth incorporates blatz songs into their own. you'd think i get bored with the blatz/filth and dystopia/skaven split, but i've been listening to them nonstop for years now...well maybe not nonstop but pretty close.

i'll never get sick of any of that shit either, same thing, listening for years and it'll never get old. which is why i like sludge and all that shit more than punk cause d beat and such gets old for me

yeah i never really got too much into d-beat for that specific reason. the more modern crust is taking d-beat elements and fitting them into post rock type stuff well....fall of efrafa for example.

and to stay on topic here's some sexy sludge bands yous guys should check out:

    noothgrush
    corrupted
    grief
    mammoth grinder
    asbestos death
