    Dominant Patri Biography

    Chris Jones - Vocals
    Kate Packwood - Vocals
    Steve Richards - Bass

    Garry Pratten - Drums

    Band members: Chris Jones (51), Gary Pratten, Kate Packwood, Paul "Bugsy" Hugget, Steve Richards (11)
    ---

    Dominant Patri were formed around 1982 and were vocalists Chris Jones and Kate Packwood, Steve Richards on bass, Paul 'Bugsy' Hugget on guitar, and Gary Pratten on drums. The name means 'Dominant Fortler' and comes from the latin 'In Nomine Patri' meaning our father which comes from the church. They chose it because they felt that the church was a dominant, corrupt part of society. One member of the band said 'The name says how the pope, priests and, bishops dominate the people's minds while they are at school'.
    Dominant Patri only released a three track demo called 'Heroes Glory' and played only around a dozen shows before splitting up, but their close association with Karma Sutra, Stunning lyrics and great music was enough to bun them into 'anarcho punk' history.

    Label - Not On Label

    Profile:
    This is for releases which don't have a label:
    Items such as self-released albums, limited edition tour merchandise, white labels, bootlegs, etc.
    =================================================
    THIS IS NOT A REAL LABEL NAME!
    =================================================

    Please do not mark Not On Label to be the parent label of any "sublabels" (e.g. "Not On Label (ArtistName)").

    RSG §4.4.1. Releases which have no discernible label, such as self-released albums, limited edition tour merchandise, white labels, bootlegs, etc. should be listed under the "Not On Label" meta-label. This is done by typing "Not On Label" into the Label field. Before using Not On Label, please check for any catalog number or other markings that could associate a release with a particular label, or labels. Often, white label records can be tied back to a label by the catalog numbers found in the run-out grooves, and some CDs with limited information present might include a label logo, if no catalog number is clearly present.

    RSG §4.4.2. Not On Label pseudo-labels have been created to gather a distinct release or set of releases without labels. The most common groupings are based on similar content and catalog numbers, and by artist:

    Not On Label (ArtistName) -- for unofficial releases containing music by a certain artist.
    Not On Label (ArtistName Self-released) -- for music released specifically by an artist, as found on tours and made available via personal websites.

    RSG §4.4.3. Artists that use the definite article "The ArtistName" should be listed as "Not On Label (The Artistname)", e.g. the group "The Police" follows the correct labeling rule for all labels, "Not On Label (The Police Self-released)".

    I'm not sure! You're better off asking one of the collectors on here, I'm sure there are a few.
