Never thought I'd say it, but I'm jealous of those who live in Texas right now.

 

First time for LARM in the US

 

i went last year and sall the pist it was great

and yes youth of today sucks now theres gunna be a bunch of lame new jacks running around beating people up for smoking
but im happy to think i might see doom if i go i live in houston so im prolly going

 

Dude Youth of Today were a very positive band, and even if a bunch of jocks show up at that show, Youth of Today was never a militant band.

 

Jocks would be outnumbered anyway.

Found out about this the other day, hoping to clear out that weekend and see Doom. I went a couple years ago and saw Amebix. When the Baron walked past me it was the best day of my life.

They need to move it to central Florida. Hell, I'd offer up a place for some of you guys to crash and everything.

 

Is it as ridiculously expensive as usual?

 

I save money to go to this show every year. We kill Texas so hard and it KILLS US!


I paid $132 for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (guess this type of ticket is sold out)
I will see about 25 bands on that ticket
So that's about $5.28 a band, ~$13-$20 a show

Some would consider that "ridiculously expensive" (especially those without an money making scheme). You can however get tickets to individual shows.. So if you get to Austin and you're not ballin style you can still see some sick bands (between the free and $5 shows).

Then again when I consider the bands I will see (DOOM, LARM, Teargas, Tradgedy, Mind Eraser, AUTOPSY!!!!!!!!, Extortion, Hooded Menace,etc)
Plus all the free shows, staying up til 4-5 in the morning drinking at a Broken Neck show, texas co$@1(e, super beautiful punk chicks, getting to meet a ton of people, AUSTIN \m/

Haha, the ONE good show California doesn't get and Texas gets once a year... I think it's fair

As for it being expensive, I think it's 25$ for one day.. plus I'd get to see 5 more bands rather than if I saw Steve Ignorant whose show costs 23$

 

We were going to play it this year and it fell through, but apparently we will be playing there next year....sucks I will miss playing with LARM though, and D-Clone and Isterismo....Cant wait to find out next years line-up..

 

I know a few people who are traveling from the UK to this. I don't think the line-up is that great that it warrants me flying to America, but if I lived in the states I'd most definitely be going.
