    AOS3 Biography

AOS3 formed in Sunderland, UK in 1990, taking their name from the initials of Augustus Owsley Stanley III, LSD chemist and sound engineer. The bands logo comprises interlinked anarchy, peace, Om, and Yin Yang symbols, which together spell out 'AOS3'.

In the early 1990s before the 1994 Criminal Justice Act the band played on the free festival circuit throughout the UK including the infamous Castlemorton. AOS3 also toured regularly with bands such as Radical Dance Faction, Citizen Fish, Culture Shock and Back To The Planet.

Part of the anarcho punk movement, AOS3's lyrics reflect the bands political stance. The songs 'Battle of Trafalgar' and 'Dubbin' Up a Riot' describe the 1990 Poll Tax Riot in Trafalgar Square, and the bands' cover of the The AK 47's 'Tottenham 3' protests the innocence of the three men wrongfully imprisoned for the murder of PC Blakelock at the Broadwater Farm Riot in 1985. Other influences are more esoteric such as the works of Robert Anton Wilson.

AOS3 split in 1995, and singer John relocated to London going on to form P.A.I.N with Phil from Radical Dance Faction. AOS3 reformed in 2007, and have since toured with Citizen Fish, and are working on a third studio album.

Band members also played in bands:
    Radical Dance Faction
    P.A.I.N
    Headjam
    Legion Of Dynamic Dischord
    less (London, England)

In fact, the AOS3 side of this tape is the same tracks that are on side 1 of their "Apparently We Had A Great Time..." tape - so if you have that already, you probably don't need this, but I can upload if you want...

Why not... It's always better to have them available in as many different versions as practical, websites fall, accounts get abandoned or shut down...etc etc

If you don't mind, it would be great to hear--I wonder if it's the same recording of those tracks or different?
I don't think the order of tracks on the Blaggers side matches any of their other releases.

You can see the cover and track listing here: Blaggers ITA + A.O.S.3. - Keep On Fighting

Thanks in advance if you get the time to upload the AOS3!

OK, here is the AOS3 side of the split tape. It's one file, you can split it yourself if you want, but bear in mind there is no break between two tracks, they just blend in from one to the next and I suspect it's probably why the original ripper never bothered.

    AOS3 - Keep on Fighting.rar

And here is the 'Apparently...' full tape if you want it. It's the same recordings.

    AOS3 - Apparently.rar

I've a few more if required...

AOS3 - AFA Keep on fighting
AOS3 - Apparently We Had A Great Time
    AOS3 - Citizen Fish Split 7inch
    AOS3 - Diversionary Tactics
    AOS3 - Far and Few
    AOS3 - god's secret agent
    AOS3 - On A Knight Train 12''
    AOS3 - Owsley Demo
