Any Star Wars fans here?

i prefer star trek... but i like star wars, (well ep's 4-6... not the prequel trilogy) But not enough to buy toys or anything...

 

i couldn't think of anyway that post relates to this site but who care i love star wars hahah

 

I'm with you Anxiety... I prefer Star Trek (original and Next Gen, none of the others), and the old Star Wars movies were best. I do get into the Role Playing Game though... and Ian I still have your character sheet!

 

Man... talk about roleplaying gets me psyched
I'm probably getting in a D&D-party again starting tomorrow (it'll be the pre-session with everyone discussing what they wanna do).
Anyway, I do have some of the SW-RP books on my HDD, D6 and D20 versions, but haven't found anyone willing to try 'em
Love the movies tho, yes the movies, so not the prequels.

Roleplaying was actually what initially got me into art. I loved creating characters in the games and drawing them always seemed to be the funnest part so naturally i developed a knack for art

 

oh i do have to say Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic I and II are 2 of the best video games I have ever played. (or i had some of the most enjoyment i've ever had from video games playing these.) I is a bit better, but i love being able to choose evil and how your shin turns purpleish if u turn towards the darkside, and i love that u can drag other charcaters down (or up) along with you. (and i like RPGS with good dialouge selection and conversations.)

actually I really liked Deep Space Nine, and in small doses voyager (if seven of nine was in the episode) but i haven't really watched enterprise, it didn't hold my interest. The animated star trek series was kind of fun too...

 

Love it. My brother and I used to check out the VHSes from the library and take them to a classroom with a projector in the building where my dad worked. That said, the special editions and the new movies are trying to assassinate my childhood.

If you're a Star Wars fan who hated the new movies, you will likely laugh your ass off at this review. I will say that there is a preposterously unfunny running gag about the narrator being a serial killer/rapist but I found it to be minimal enough that it didn't ruin the rest of the review for me. But if you're triggered by that sort of thing, you probably won't want to watch this.

 

I waited in a line that rapped around the Mission Valley Theatre 7 times to see the premiere run of the original Star Wars with my dad who is hardcore Mexican. We finally get in and the Movie starts and my dad was instantly passed out....? So after the flick is over and I wake him up and were outside I'm all "Dad whats wrong with you? everybody and their grandmothers are dying to see this movie...Look" The line now rapped around the building about 14 times...and my dad says in his thick accent (think the guy in the Dos XX commercials who totally reminds me of him) "I already saw that movie" ???? "What do you mean, it just came out today?"..."Yes" he says, "but when I was a kid in the 1940's I would sneak into the movies in Tijuana and buy the biggest tub of popcorn and a bottle of soda and watch Flash Gordon for hours and hours, I must have seen every episode ever made at least 10 times... so like I said, I've already seen this movie". Well if you guys have ever watched the original Flash Gordon pics you know you can see the string that the space ships are attached too and the sparklers and smoke that drifts straight up like a cigarrete, but to a little boy in the 40's it was the shit! And what really mattered was that he stood in line for hours just to indulge his kid....and by the way how many porno's have come out of the Star Wars brand and how many porn titles can you guys make up using the movie's titles?

I'm not a fan of the universe and didn't enjoy any of the movies, but Knights of the Old Republic is a fuckin' good game (I am a huge BioWare fan). Star Trek was more of my thing, but the books and comics ("Starfleet Academy" anyone?) rather than the TV series because I never used to get the channel that showed them.

 

I'm a star wars fan and I hate star trek. In that weird Kevin-Smith way...
And there's only one trilogy.
And for the porn thing... even creepier than star wars porn is star wars hentai....

i do like lord of the rings though haha
hate star-trek... seems bland but i am only 23 so go figure.
