Hey, new here. I'm an Anarchist-Communist, but I tend to gravitate more towards post-punk and goth rock than straight up punk (I'm an aging goth kid hahaha) - The Birthday Party is probably my favourite band - Nick Cave is my hero. Do you know of any good post-punk/goth bands that have explicitly leftist politics? Rudimentary Peni is the only one I really know of... My other great musical love is Industrial - particularly older stuff like Skinny Puppy, Einsturzende Neubauten, Ministry etc. - Any good anarchist industrial bands would be cool too - I know KMFDM has the song "anarchy", which is catchy as hell, but unfortunately a lot of the lyrics seem to just conflate anarchism with advocating chaos.

The Ex sort of could be considered post-punk, at least on some of their records.

Actually it really depends on your definition of post-punk. Bands that I can think of that could maybe be considered both anarcho punk and also post punk, at least during some point in their existence, might include The Mob, Chumbawamba, Rubella Ballet, Dog Faced Hermans, Fatal Microbes, Flux of Pink Indians, and Kukl.

Sex Gang Children. New Model Army. Killing Joke.

For modern gothic rock stuff more in the Sisters of Mercy vein, The Bellwether Syndicate (it's the project of William Faith, who's been in a bunch of gothic acts, and who also plays with Conflict now).
